Macros

Have been watching YouTube for weeks trying to learn and use macros for DND 5e. Found many good instructional videos, but they appear to be more than 1 and 2 years old. Implementing their macros does not yield the results they show, in many instances. Suspect it may be a versioning issue, with latest releases having changed some things just enough to make the results either skewed, inaccurate, or not working at all. Is there a source that reflects fields, names, syntax, et al for creating and using macros effectively? I am aware of the Wiki this forum references, but it seems to be more scattershot rather than a comprehensive operator's or developers manual. Looking for guidance so that I can take up DM'ing soon. The Macros you're talking about likely access Attributes on a Character.  The names of the Attributes are dependent on which Character Sheet you're using.  For DnD 5e, there are at least 3 different character sheets: 5e OGL, Shaped, and the Community Contributed sheet.  You should choose the Character Sheet you like best as the Macros you write will be specific to it. • The 5e OGL sheet is provided and maintained by Roll20 staff.  It adheres to the design of the physical character sheet reasonably closely, and is minimally automated. • The Shaped sheet is extremely detailed and heavily automated, particularly if you have access to the API (a Pro subscriber perk). Once you've made that choice, you can start looking at the sheet's attributes and figure out what macros you want to write.
Thank you. That is what I am mostly looking at and it is the 5E OGL sheet I use. This is helpful in general guidance relative to Attributes. Would like to see a syntax and commands guide if one exists. Further, I would like to stack (or nest or wrap) macros and rollable tables so that I do not clutter my screen with dozens of macros and such. Any guidance or reference there?

Chat Menus are your friend there. They allow you create menus of common commands that you can call with a single button.
Thanks, once again. Will give it a look and see if I can sort it properly. I note in your Utility macro you used 5e-Shaped sheet (named in your macro). If I am using the 5e OGL, do I reference that as DEFAULT, as I have seen in other macros, or is there a name I should use?

The 5e OGL has a number of roll templates to choose from. I'm not familiar enough to recommend one, but here is the page for them.
