Gauges in sheets, tick-boxes and sliders..

Hello, I'm struggling to create a character-sheet for a game in which attrition is a core mechanic : characters regularly take damages (physical, psyhological, social, material and even "moral"), but they can regenerate from ressources and specific actions (getting "touchy-feely" with your companions clears up social damages, for instance). Most importantly, damages affect abilities : scores are therefore variables and, in the p&p version of the game, we use use tick-boxes or sliders. I've spent quite a bit of time searching through the sheets templates on GitHub for something I could cannibalise and I'm currently fiddling with the character-sheet building guide... with very poor results. Though I've designed countless graphical sheets and even a few video-game interfaces, it turns out I'm pretty bad at this ! I'd take any advice and ressources available. Even encouragement, really.

The CSS Wizardry page on the wiki has a lot of ways to do sliders and toggles.
Thanks ! I had scheduled that read for tomorrow.....
