Is there any way for the Roll20 people to make an actual Hex Grid Map? Because the one that I have access to is honestly infuriating. I've recently made a LoZ campaign complete with a world map that was originally based in the square one. However, one of my players pointed out that this method of map-making is rather inefficient at figuring out how far they're actually traveling and suggested that a Hex map would be better. I concurred and so today I set out to make a similar map albeit made with Hexes. and then I ran into this atrocious system... I tried to make the map 30x30 thinking that it would make a 30x30 Hex Grid map. Instead I got a 26x29 Hex map, and it wasn't until later that I figured out why. It's because the Hex Map is actually just an overlay on top of a normal square grid map. Which I found out when I tried to Polygon Snap to the Grid, only for my attempt to make a hexagon end up being a square. This has made attempting to recreate the map from squares to hexes far more complex than it needed to be and it was already going to be relatively complex just trying to keep the basic map structure the same. This app has been so great for playing tabletop rpgs that I was honestly startled when I found myself incapable of making this map without freehanding it (which has so far proven to be the biggest source of infuriation due to the lack of proper tools with which to draw the map.) Think that we could get votes on this thing so that map creation in Hex Mode is actually plausible within an hour or two?
