How to use Roll20 for an offline game?

Sorry, I'm very new to Roll20, and I haven't played D&D in years.  I want to practice on the VTT, without making a public game.  Is this possible?  Also, how can I make a character to submit to join a game?  Is there an online character sheet I can use?  Thanks in advance for any help!!

Absolutely. Now that you have an account, just go to the Games menu at the top and choose "Create New Game". The system will ask you For a name, and if you want to use a character sheet. Since you have shown interest in D&D, you are in luck, since there are a number of sheets for various editions. If you are going to be playing 5th edition eventually, I would suggest the 5th Edition (OGL by Roll20). It's probably a bit friendlier for newcomers, and will likely find more people able to help you with any questions. I would highly suggest running through the In-App tutorial. Instructions here . All games created on Roll20 are invitation only, with the game creator or designated gamemaster (they don't have to be the same person) acting as gatekeeper. Anything you do in your practice game is entirely private unless you issue an invitation, so experiment at your own pace. If you run into any problems or have any questions, folks on the forum are very helpful. As for making a character to submit, yes, that's possible. Depending on the settings of any game you join, you may be able to use the Character Vault to move it between games. All games are different, though, a gamemaster might wish to have characters created within the campaign.

Also, checkout the wiki page on in-person gaming:&nbsp;<a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Using_Roll20_while_Playing_In-Person" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Using_Roll20_while_Playing_In-Person</a>
I just set up the game and sit in there by myself working on it. I have invited a few people in to test out things and give me pointers. If you dont send out a invite people cant join if they have never been there before.
