API Roll20AM Help

July 14 (6 years ago)

After the new update I get no sound using the API.

I was using it in a powercard and was told I had to change the format too soundfx|audio, play|track

Well i did that and still no sound. I can play the sound from the jukebox so I know that is working.

I then tried just from chat !Roll20AM --audio,play|Arrowmiss and no sound.

I ran the !Roll20AM config and its blank

I can't seem to findout how to access the help card either.

!rol20AM --help doen't work.

anyone have the older version so I can go back to it. I have spent more then 4 hrs trying to get this to work.

Could just be a typo... You're missing an "l" in your example.  Is there a help option?

Can you get to the config menu?

!roll20AM --config

Not sure if this is related;  but I think it was mentioned somewhere that you have to "remove all" and re-import jukebox using the config menu.

That remove all and re-import is critical. It builds a database of sounds that Roll20 uses to work its magic.

In game help has been disabled for the moment.  Use this version of roll20AM as I have a major fix awaiting commit to Github.  https://gist.github.com/vicberg/6635c77f7f730529ccf83f64819297c0

The wiki was updated with new commands.  You can use the menus to set volume, playlist or track mode, etc.  https://wiki.roll20.net/Script:Roll20_Audio_Master

And yes, I'll update Wiki to make it clear,  YOU MUST remove all and then import Jukebox.

And if you have a ton of macros that need updating, you can go back to older version of roll20AM.

I’m assuming you use config to remove all and import . However when I type config I get the box you see above and it’s empty

If that's returning an empty box, then I'd suggest inviting me to your game and promoting me to GM so I can see what's going on.  I'm running across all sorts of oddities with jukebox and setups.  There's probably something unique going on with your setup.

That works my new powercard command is --?? $Atk < @{target||npc_ac} ?? soundfx|_audio,play,nomenu|ArrowMiss

I can't thank you enough. Now the task to update some macros.

Edit I am current running your 2.10 from git.

Good and if you have multiple sounds of the same type, create a playlist in Jukebox for them, import into Roll20AM.  Set the playlist mode to single.  Every time you play the playlist it will cycle through your tracks in that playlist so you can get different sounds related to the same thing

Very cool.
