Dynamic Lighting / Advanced FOW looking so... squared & dark & awkward

Hello guys! New user here, I've subscribed to gain access to Dynamic Lighting & advanced FOW, only to find out that the lighting seems to snap to the grid by itself even though my lines aren't snapped. It's also very dark & looks awkward in general. Here's a pic of what it looks like from one of my players: I've tried fiddling with all settings but nothing can fix it. The closest I've got to what I would like to have is when I completely removed the fog of war, although now the players can see areas they've never seen before, which is problematic. As you can see from the image above, the pitch black & snapped-to-grid darkness thingy is gone, looks much better this way, however now they can see the area next to them even though they've never been. Any way to have the dynamic lighting / progressive FOW look like the picture below, but without revealing the areas they haven't seen yet? Thanks!
This is due to how the AFoW functions. A square is revealed in the AFoW when the token is able to see the center  of the square on the grid. When this center point is revealed, the entire square becomes revealed. The only thing you can do in this situation would be to increase the number of squares (change the Grid Size on the page) and adding additional center points to the grid.

Hi Kyle, thanks for the reply. That's too bad. I tried increasing the grid size (by x5, and reducing unit scaling to 1 square = 1 feet, in order to keep the map's scaling), however the map now went up to a 630x630 grid and basically made my computer go crazy (which is the most up-to-date computer amongst my group, so I can't imagine how badly will their computers handle such a grid size), so this option seems like a no-go. What do you mean by center points? Would it be possible to simply change the aFoW's color to match the dynamic lighting's grayed out color? This way I get to keep both features and blending their colors means it won't look squared while also keeping undiscovered areas hidden. Would be a very simple fix.
Update in case other users have the same problem: For now I "fixed" the uglyness by changing the map's background to black, so it blends with the aFoW's color: This isn't ideal because that means I can't customize my backgrounds anymore, but it already looks much better, so for now I'll go with this, but if anyone has any more ideas feel free to share. :)
