Premade Maps? AKA No Artistic Talent

So I am trying to run a shadowrun campaign and while using blocky terrible designs is possible I was trying to use premade maps. I have a few but they just seem to all look wonky, not line up right, and just in general look like crap. I'd love some help with this. Yes I know there are various guides on alignment and other things but I tried the directions in the thread and it didn't do anything what so ever with the map image I uploaded. Would love some help building some things for my players to run in. What I have figured out for now is a sleazy bar where they meet their Mr. Johnson, some kind corporate offices deal or warehouse for the run to take place, and maybe like a back alley ambush or other things I can use to create a dynamic story that my players can visualize since none of us have ever really done this without a map in front of us on a table and all of us around said table. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
Sometimes, getting a map to line up properly can be an art form. One thing I can recommend is that you remember that holding the Alt key allows you to "break" the rule that forces the map to snap to the grid. I often have maps that are just a fraction of an inch off the grid (but are otherwise perfect) and holding the Alt key while positioning them (release it when you have the map lined up) makes a huge difference. It seems simple, but it took me a long time to realize this, so I offer it here. Second, while beautiful full-color maps are all well and good, at its heart, the function of the map is to show their surroundings. If all else fails, try drawing a simple map on the grid itself. Holding down Shift while drawing a line will cause the line to snap to the grid. Lay out the rooms or buildings, and then you can drop in some furnishings. This will add a splash of color and make the map look a little nicer. Remember that if you are using vision blocking, they won't see what is within the blocking boundaries anyway, so there is no sense making it look good.
