Token actions for specific tokens?

Is there a way to create token action macros that I will only see when I select a specific token? For example if I selected a rat the token action would show up, but as soon as I deselected it, or selected another token it would no longer appear? I am probably missing something pretty basic here, but I can't seem to figure out if this is possible or not.
Yes, just make the monster a character sheet, set up the macros in the character sheet as token actions, make sure you set up a default token for the sheet.

I just tried this and I get nothing when I select the token. I can see the macro if I tick the "show in macro bar" setting on the character's macro setting, but I can't see token actions even if I tick "show as token action". Am I missing something?

The token needs to be connected to the character sheet in the token settings, the "show as token action" needs to be checkmarked in the Ability, and then you need to select the token. If that doesn't work for you let us know and we can troubleshoot it.
To clarify what Gauss said (which is otherwise correct), you need to set the 'macro' up, not as a macro, but as an Ability in a character sheet; basically the same thing, just different. PS: See here for information about Linking Tokens to Journals

Thank you all so much. :) I wasn't changing the token to represent the character. A silly mistake on my part.
