Modified Weapon Master

Recently, I came across a modified version of the Weapon Master Feat in 5e (AKA the worst feat ever).  When reading it, I couldn't decide if it is a good idea or not to replace it with original version of the feat in my games. Is there any way this version could be game breaking? I just want to check before someone were to take advantage of it. Below is the description of the original feat first and then the modified version: Weapon Master (Original Version) You have practiced extensively with a variety of weapons, gaining the following benefits:         - Increase your Strength or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.         - You gain proficiency with four simple or martial weapons of your choice. Weapon Master (Modified Version) You have practiced extensively with a variety of weapons, gaining the following benefits:         - Increase your Strength or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.         - Choose four weapons. You may add your proficiency bonus to damage rolls utilizing these weapons.
