Ea - A Pathfinder Supersetting [LFP] [PF] [PBP] [Roll20]

Welcome to Ea! Roll20 Listing Ea is a love letter to Pathfinder [1e] it is also a procedural generated, sandbox, super-setting. What does this mean? It means that the goal of Ea is to provide a unique and enthralling experience where the players can work with the DM to create the story of THEIR liking. Ea would be well suited for players who enjoy long-term games with a balance of combat & roleplay combined with an interest in seeing more of the breadth of Paizo’s system. Mechanics surrounding downtime (crafting), Ultimate Wilderness (Overland Travel & Salvaging), Ultimate Campaign (Kingdom Building), are all part of the experience that can be had by players. Being a sandbox, part of the beauty of Ea is the direction will be guided by the interest of the party instead of just the DM. What does this mean? It means that players are free to partake in what interests them the most and most importantly walk away from it without having to leave the game (or character) when they want to have a different experience. As a DM I feel that there is almost always a way to maintain the integrity of the story while helping players to chase their interest. Ea has a combination of Paizo & 3rd party content within. The shell of the game is composed of a 99 x 99 hex map that I created which has a combination of procedural generated, player requested, and pre-written content. As players traverse the map they will find many varied experiences, quests, and settings to immerse themselves in. I would love to post an image of the world map but unfortunately it is too large due to high resolution. Please PM if you would like to see or have questions. Ea utilizes a tiered progression system. What does this mean? It means that depending on the start the party picks, they will begin with different classes and races unlocked. From there as they venture forward and make interactive decisions within the setting they will unlock new features, races, classes etc. This can be as simple as progressing to a certain level within your class utilizing an archetype, making specific decisions during a quest, or within kingdom building. Information on the setting is also unlocked in a similar manner. I have never seen another game utilize this system and it is truly one of the features that makes Ea unique and a super-setting. Ea is absolutely designed to be a long lasting game which can take players from 1-20 if they so desire. All of the decisions that have been made toward its world & mechanic design have been chosen to help provide for a more organic feel. Characters will be using a traditional roll for stats where they pick from the best of 3 sets of 6 x 4d6d1. 3rd party content can be requested & reviewed for balance & insertion. This game will have a scheduled date for Roll20 traditional on a weekday night [EST] around 6 or 7 pm on a day selected by the party [M-Th]. The game will also be utilizing a Play by Post which will be in session throughout the day all week. This means that characters can interact with the setting all week on their own time (if they desire) and then have a more traditional experience once a week as well. This allows players a bit more flexibility and game time. The idea for paying for anything less is crazy too me! As a pay to play game I feel that it is imperative to make the campaign not just fun but also practical. By utilizing PBP this will allow for smaller parties to entertain quest, roleplay, and challenges when everyone is not present. While originally considering pay to play for this game, I have since changed my mind. I feel that pay for play truly does go against the spirit of classic D&D and Pathfinder. This game will be played and enjoyed free of charge.  For anyone who has read this long and arduous post I thank you! Feel free to PM for more information or questions -Dwayne Negron
For anyone who didnt notice the edit, I have since made this game free to play.

Thank you! Yes, I feel that between our experience and my own personal thoughts on it, I just couldnt do it. I have DM'd for plenty of years but have never charged a dime. Why start now? I have had no luck with players lately in regards to taking my games or time seriously so thought in charging it would help. However, I really do feel that it goes against the spirit of the game. So back to the sea of players! Hoping to find some good ones!
