CLOSED: LFP: The Fate of Middle Earth (Asynchronous Play-by-Post; Minicampaign; Discord)

The Fate of Middle-earth System - Fate Core. No homebrew rules unless deemed necessary by the group. Medium - Discord asynchronous Play-by-Post Length - Single Adventure with opportunity for mini-campaign. Players - Have three on board already. Beginners welcome and encouraged (I find the pbp format great for newbies if they need to stop and ask questions it doesn’t derail the game.) Player’s must be willing and able to post once a day at minimum. Must have basic respect for Tolkien’s world. GM - About me: Husband. Father of two. Ally to people of all walks of life. Amateur Tolkien scholar. Experienced but maybe a bit rusty GM who has run Middle-earth in D&D 5e, has run learn-to-play-and-gm Fate games before, and who is currently developing the Fate setting The Stuffed Guardians for print and pdf. Respond or PM if interested!
Hi, I've been looking to join a FATE game for a long while, and this seems like the perfect opportunity. Doing a FATE middle earth game sounds like a really interesting idea. Tolkien got me started on fantasy ages ago, so I completely appreciate the 'basic respect for Tolkien's world'  - that said, it has been a long while since I read them and I'll probably be quite rusty on details. Would a re-read be pretty much a necessity you think? As for my gaming experience, your basic fare of AD&D, Shadowrun and GURPS in the nineties. Sort of grew bored with that and had a 10-or-so year period with little RPG as I focussed on historical re-enactment. Re-discovered the hobby thanks to (primarily) indy games and currently very enthusiastic about all the new energy and ideas in the hobby.
