API - Journal Folders

It would be useful to have API access to journal folders, especially when using scripts to mass-process structures of data for a game into handouts.  The following types of API functionality would be especially useful for this: Create folders and subfolders. Rename folders. Remove folders. Sort folders. Move handouts and characters to folders. Without this functionality, I'm able to create data-driven handouts at the root-level of the journal, but I've had to move all the handouts into their proper folders by hand, which is a long and tedious process, especially since the UI pauses for a second after moving a handout to another folder.
