Help with whispering

Hi Forumers! I am about to start my first campaign (WOOOO!) but I currently have 1 main sticking point. Long story short one of the PCs has amnesia and has given me creative licence to give them fragments back at any point(s) I so desire. I made nice little cards because we were planning to run this campaign in person. So although I can't use the cards directly, I wanted to still use them as the images they are. It is crucial that other PCs do not see this as these memories have effects attached to them to reflect the PTSD related effects some of the fragments have. Also this is all going on in said PC's brain so it would make no sense for everyone else to know. So my question is, can I whisper images to this PC or is there some other more elegant way to do such a thing on roll20?  Cheers Roll20!!

There may be better ways, but I would probably just make handouts.  Put them right by the character sheet of that player, but don't give anyone permissions to see them.  As needed, give permission to see a handout to that player and no one else.  They will now see the handout as soon as they go to open up their character sheet. I use this sort of thing for magic items with multiple abilities (assuming the players don't know everything about it upfront).  Give the image and whatever they know in the player visible part of the handout.  Have everything else in the GM notes section and copy/paste additional info to where players can see it as that info becomes available to them.  If you have multiple things that might be associated with an image, you could do that as well.

Handouts is a great way to do it, as the player can look back on them to "remember" the flashbacks. You can whisper images using the basic formatting syntax: /w "Tester Aaron" [x](<a href="https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.d20.io/images/6723824/TCt7nHcZ_nm1vQnzrI0ceA/max.png" rel="nofollow">https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.d20.io/images/6723824/TCt7nHcZ_nm1vQnzrI0ceA/max.png</a>) You could even whisper a Roll Template: /w "Tester Aaron" &amp;{template:default}{{name=A brief memory}}{{[x](<a href="https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.d20.io/images/6723824/TCt7nHcZ_nm1vQnzrI0ceA/max.png" rel="nofollow">https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.d20.io/images/6723824/TCt7nHcZ_nm1vQnzrI0ceA/max.png</a>)}}
You could also make a handout called "Memories" and write everything that actually happened in the GM section at the bottom. Give them permission to see the handout, but they still won't be able to see the GM part. Then you can just copy (or cut) and paste items from the GM part to the regular description where they can see it. Easier than lots of different handouts and keeps everything all together. Plus, you can keep adding to the GM section as you think of new ideas.
