If your a fan of retro clones such as Lab Lord or Lamentations of the Flame Princess then you and I have something in common. If you've ever played "flailsnails" characters in google hangouts across several campaigns then we have even more in common. If you've never played D&D before I found it very easy to learn via Lab Lord. If you've never played a retro clone before then you'll find it pretty easy to get into. This coming Sunday, Im beginning a run through of the Forbidden Caverns of Archaia. If your familiar with the Barrowmaze then this is somewhat similar. In fact it shares a lot of the same lore as both were written by Greg Gillespie. All characters Lvl 1- 3 from any other retro clones are welcome. Though I must insist that If a character is above a lvl 1, you've leveled them to 2 or 3 the hard way. Don't forget that while Im comfortable having characters drop in from other campaigns, other dms may not be. It's probably a good idea to check first. As far as rules, I'll be running Lab Lord but characters from other retro clones are fine. If you want to be a Shadowsneak from the Nightmares Underneath then fine. Be that. If you want to be a Ranger from Lab Lord Advanced by all means go ahead. We can make it all work. I typically prefer people have their characters rolled up before a game starts and that they manage their own sheets. I'll be using the Hit Charts etc. out of Lab Lord. But your welcome to roll up via any other system you have at hand. Go ahead and do your shopping out of those manuals as well. Which system has 60 GP Plate Mail again? I can't recall.
