Background size and centering freaking out

When I launch the game the background is constantly changing its dimensions and where on the screen it is depending on how much I am zoomed in. Can I do something in the settings to fix this?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with the site. Could you please carefully work through these steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) Thank you!
At some zoom levels it works fine. At some zoom levels it appears to have 'extra' space to the right side. At some zoom levels it appears to have extra space all over. And at the maximum zoom level it seems to jump randomly when you try to move it, until only the bottom third of the map is visible. If I'm wrong, GenKetty's advice above is correct. But if this accurately describes the problem you're having, this is a known issue from the very beginning of Roll20's existence. They're working on it. Current Best Solution: Don't use those zoom levels.
"They're working on it" It has been an issue since I first joined the site in 2012. I very much doubt they are working on it.

You can often ameliorate this problem by adding a couple of units of margin around the edges of your map. IIRC, the problem you are seeing occurs when a large graphic "sticks" to the edge of the page. Even if this doesn't fix the issue, there are some other benefits to an extra margin, such as using fog of war to give you a holding place for tokens lying in wait.
