Tokens appearing on GM token layer, but players cannot see or interact

Hi, Roll20 is awesome and I'm a huge fan. Thanks for all the hard work. In a session on Friday playing "Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan" I, the GM, was able to set tokens on the token layer from the Journal, but the players could not see or interact with the tokens. A few notes: 1. Running on Mac High Sierra and the latest Chrome 2. I was able to open other games on my system in Roll20 and GM's/players could use tokens as expected. 3. I have read the documentation provided here (https://wiki.roll20.net/Token_Features) and here (https://wiki.roll20.net/Linking_Tokens_to_Journals). What am I missing? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Just to verify. When the toolbar looks like this, with the area that I have highlighted in red looking like a cube... You are able to grab tokens and move them around and they look like this: And you are positive that the map page you have selected is the same one that the player ribbon is on, but the players cannot see the tokens? (Pardon me if I seem a little over pedantic, but I've run into some basic terminology miscommunication lately) Further, does this happen for all players, and does it happen if you open the problem campaign in any other browser (Chrome, if you are using Firefox, and vice-versa)? And finally, when this happens, have you double clicked on the token after you have put it on the map and made sure it has the proper permissions? (i.e. assigned to a character that the player has control over)? That should cover the most likely issues. If you still get the same behavior, we can proceed from there.
No apologies needed, so often it is a little misstep that causes these issues. I appreciate your thoughtful response! I've ensured that the tokens are loaded on the Token and Objects layer, and that the player ribbon has been moved to the correct page. Interestingly, they are all able to see the Fog of War reveals with no issue. It has happened with all players. I've tried Chrome and Firefox with the same results. I created the player characters in the Journal and set up their permissions there. Then is drug them onto the map (by the name, not three bars) and then double clicked them again to edit and confirm the permissions. Still nothing. I was able to shift the tokens to the map layer and then the characters could see them, but no one could interact with them. Thanks again!

Then we'll need to escalate this. You've started on this, but I'll need you to go through the rest so I can ping a dev with full troubleshooting info. Verifying the steps you've taken so far was also very helpful in eliminating the more common problems. Please carefully work through these steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues . Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) Thank you!
I have followed these steps and will move on to Step 4: Ensured that there are no extensions running. Cleared cashe Updated Chrome to Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit). Tried on two separate OS machines Thanks for your help!

You are using Advanced Fog of War? It sounds like the tokens are in the not-visible but remembered area of the map. Possibly the player's tokens they control don't have sufficient vision or light to see them?
Okay The Aaron! I turned off Advanced Fog of War and they appeared! I will do some research on the settings for AFOW and see if that is not the cause of my problems. Thanks!
