After leaving Arieth’s office Urd went to Behyla’s old office and Kira was escorted to a guest room. Ailekk sought out Urd and the two had a frank discussion about what transpired in Guilds Town, both vowing to get revenge. After leaving, Ailekk stumbled across Crow who both insulted and expressed his distress over Rurrick’s passing. Now with a sprig of mistletoe tied around his neck, Crow buried a berry in Ailekk’s feathers then used magic to cause it to bloom into a blooming flower. Getting to his alchemy lab, Ailekk stumbled across Guildmaster Archvall and two apprentices (Jamie & Kimberly), loading in some alchemical supplies. Archvall dismissed them, and had a frank discussion with Ailekk during which he apologized for his behavior the last time they had met. Additionally he expressed regret for not taking more responsibility for the taking back of Guilds Town, saying that he had spoken with the other guild masters who all agreed to help take back the city. Last, Archvall produced a figure representation of Bahamut on a platinum chain, and asked for Ailekk to wear the necklace until he saw his friend Cassius once more, then he could deliver it to him. Ailekk put on the necklace and thanked Archvall, telling him to take care of himself. Archvall remarked that “I’ll take care of myself, I’ve always been good at that. These events serve as a reminder that I need to get better about taking care of those around me.” With that Guildmaster Archvall left, taking time to try and be pleasant to the two apprentices with him. *** Meanwhile, Urd wandered the hallways and seldom visited sections of the castle, until he caught his triplet sisters trying to prank him. Humriz (Riz), Humraz (Raz), and Himguz (Guz) came out to greet him. Raz apologized to him, as they had heard of the party’s returning and had planned to prank Rurrick until they found out what happened to him. In the meantime, Riz and Raz found out that neither of them had the inclination for wizardry, and were stuck to their innate magic. They did find that Guz, on the other hand, did have what it takes, if she wanted to pursue it. After talking for a few moments, they offered to take Urd to Swell’s Casino in the basement of the castle, hopefully maybe he could get them inside. Urd accepted their offer. *** In her guest room while playing panpipes, Kira was approached by Gravycakes, whom she had never met before. He approached her with caution, although he obviously knew somewhat of whom she was, he seemed to be hazy on the details. They got along well, and he offered her a bonus of 210 platinum if Ailekk and Urd were escorted to meet Brescka and back unharmed. He offered another 250 platinum if she would place a smokey gray and violet marble with golden flakes somewhere in Breschka’s quarters. She agreed, although she didn’t sense that he meant any harm to Breschka or wanted to help Queen Lightcrown in the least. He invited her to blow off some steam by visiting a gambling hall in the basement of the castle, Kira opted to go with them. *** Urd, Riz, Raz, and Guz made it to the basement where a door was being guarded by a gray and orange tabaxi covered in strange clothing and jewelry. He/she spoke with a strange accent and eventually let them into Swell’s Casino, Tavern and Cabaret. They met up with Gravycakes and Kira who had been there for a while. After doing a bit of gambling and meeting, Urd spent some time talking with Swell, catching him up on everything that happened. He then gave him 500 gold to look for some bracers of defense.
