Maptools maps to Roll 20

I'm a long time maptools user making the jump to roll20, any advice on moving my extensive collection of maps made for maptools to roll20?
I know there are folks on here who actually build maps in MapTools to use them in Roll20, hopefully one of them can hop in here...
It depends on how you created your maps in MapTool. The simplest way is to export the entire map as a single image. This locks everything into place and produces a single image file you can drag and drop into the map layer in Roll20. If you have lots of objects like tables, doors, chests, and such that you want to be able to move later... you'll need to remove all those from the map in MapTool, export the base map as a single image and then drag and drop that into Roll20. After that, you'll have to drag and drop and re-place every object you want to be able to move later.
Thanks Jonathan, I played around with taking multiple screen shost of sections of the map and then pasting them back together in paint, which worked ok. is there a faster way to export the maps?
Yeah, File > Export... or something like that. I can't seem to get MapTool to open right now on my computer.
Jeff If you select Fire -> Export -> Screenshot As it'll pop up a dialog box allowing you to fine tune what's included in the screenshot. That way, you can hide things from certain layers etc.  You might have to fiddle around a little with the settings to get exactly what you're wanting, but this should do the trick. It's how I got all my Thunderspire maps over to Roll20 when I first switched :)
Apologies for performing thread necromancy, but I was hoping that I could get some advice on exporting Map Tools maps. I got it to work as long as I was selecting Type: Current View.  But as soon as I chose "Entire Map," it did... nothing.  It didn't produce a file at all.  Is that normal or am I just missing something obvious?
I was never able to get "Entire Map" to work either, I just assumed it was because a MapTools map goes off into infinity? I finally did as others described above, take a series of "Current View" shots, drop the files into Roll20 and reassemble them into a single large map. The technique works quite well.
You have to click Browse and give it a filename and location. Then you can click Export. I have used MapTool to make maps for Roll20 many times and use the Entire Map / Current View and gotten it to work.
Jonathan, I did use the browse and gave it a filename.  It works fine when I choose Current View it exports a file.  When I check the "entire map" radio button, it doesn't create a file.  Weird that people seem to have different experiences with this.  I'll tinker around with it more and see if I can spot what the issue is. If not, I can just do as Brett suggests and so the screenshot series. :)
I did try it to check. It works perfectly as Jonathan described. So, you should probably ask on the Maptool forum. They are very helpful.
Huh.  That's super strange.  I have no idea why exporting the entire map wasn't working for me, then.  I'll play around and see if I can get it to cooperate then.  Thanks for letting me know!
