Before leaving the castle, Urd and Ailekk have a private discussion. They then have a fight in the courtyard, that ends up with Ailekk winning. When Urd is revived by Ailekk he slices his hand with a dagger to draw blood. He offers his hand to Ailekk and states after the death of Cassius and Rurrik he will never again leave a party member behind. He regrets his decision to leave them hoping they would be captives and then losing them. He will fight to the death. Ailekk does the same and clasps hands. The next morning the group leave for the front lines. As they travel, Ailekk talked with Arata about Kaaska and what she knew of him, talked about teaming up in the future (Ailekk and Arata). Ailekk helped guide them through the mountains. Urd had some conversations with Kira. The party engaged some small undead patrols, but nothing noteworthy. At Dwarfsett, the party went underground, traveling the rest of the way in dwarven tunnels. They arrived at the front lines, underneath ogremire. While waiting to get in, Ailekk met an Aarakocra named Ureek. Apparently, she was raised in the Shadowfell, before managing to escape back to the prime material plane. She was then summoned to enter and the party waited outside The party was eventually brought into the main chamber with Breschka, Feng, and Kalrithni. The party told Breschka what happened, but she was already suspicious. She became upset, and Feng became more upset. Kalrithni spoke telepathically with Urd and Ailekk, with them hearing Oron’s voice. Someone mentioned keeping the death of Cassius and Ailekk a secret, but Kalrithni disaggreed. She said they should tell everyone in Dravens of their deaths, turning them into martyrs against their enemies. Urd and Ailekk Agreed. The group then turned to Kira, asking her questions about her intentions and past. Breschka cast Zone of Truth, so Kira had to speak the truth. As far as they could tell, she wanted revenge on Queen Lightcrown and her allies, with little ideas about once should would do if Lightcrown was killed. She also seemed to have little loyalty to Dree.
