After interrogating Kira, Urd and Ailekk stated their intentions to return to Guilds Town. Feng said he was off to check on the status of their army. Before leaving, the party asked about the presence of different chromatic dragons, combined with the mention of abishai, Feng got quite worked up saying he would confront them himself, although Breschka and Kalrithni didn’t think him leaving was a good idea. Feng then left. Afterwards, Berinon Fenwik, an aged rugged general and warrior from Shevorth flanked by a dwarf and a human knight, vowed his help, committing 12 knights and 24 trained soldiers to the cause. Golden hair warrior Raya from Indra offered the assistance of 36 Indasian scouts and 12 master archers, whose primary function could be to ensure the enemy didn’t escape. Khainan, a dwarven monk and scholar from Gravelback approached Ailekk, warning him that a lack of peace in his heart could cause him trouble down the road. She offered 6 martial arts brothers and sisters. Sadon Wheatflow, a diplomat and coordinator came over and spoke to Urd, saying he would try to secure the party some support troops from the Bonehammer army. The party talked more, with Kalrithni offering to take the party to meet their local expert on Dree. Kira asked to speak to Breschka alone. The two went off to Breschka’s chambers with Kalrithni following behind. Kira produced the marble, giving it to Breschka and telling her what Gravycakes had told her to do. Breschka told Kira that she had passed the test, and Kalrithni stepped out of a corner with a scimitar coated in purple worm poison dripping from the blade. The three returned to the main chamber, with Breschka explaining to Ailekk and Urd the test Gravycakes has devised for Kira, and that she passed. The group could see Celenwe, a high elf bard from Sehe, Ureek the blue-feathered and 4 winged Aarakocra from the Shadowfell, as well as a leather armored, rapier wielding wood elf named Ladrilye from Thrinegrove. Ailekk went over and introduced Ureek to Urd. Ladrilye expressed her condolences to Ailekk and Urd for the death of Rurrick. Celenwe expressed his condolences for the loss of Cassius, the knight of Bahamut while saying insulting things about Rurrick at the same time. Ladrilye was angry and held a dagger to his throat, but Urd calmed them down. Urd and Ailekk mentioned good things about Rurrick, and Celenwe apologized. Talking with Ladrilye in Thieves’ Cant, Urd asked her for support. She asked what kind and he said some of the rogue variety, she said she would give him descriptions and tokens to get him the support of 4 master thieves she had operating in Dravens Port and North Dravens Port. Meanwhile, Ureek offered a group of 50 araakocra to Ailekk who, perhaps with the assistance of the Indrasians, could keep dragons from fleeing the city. Celenwe offered assistance to Ailekk as well, while asking more questions about Rurrick and seeming more intrigued. He asked what Ailekk would like, and offered the help of two dozen acolytes of Bahamut and 6 priests of Bahamut to aid them. Having gotten troops from the generals, the party went to the south chamber with Kalrithni to speak with the Dree informant. There they saw Celia talking with two Dree mages on the south side of the room. On the west side of the room was a short woman dressed in a fine hat with a coat with a furred collar sporting a crossbow, light crossbow, and longsword. Named Catherine Ashglade, she spoke with a lisp and seemed very sure of herself. Catherine was flanked by two Dwargons, which Kira knew were dwarves of Kiernards who were transformed into fire and stone constructs by a process that kept their bodies barely alive inside the casing. Standing near them, the necromatons seemed to groan and moan in perpetual torture. Kalrithni and Catherine said their hellos with Kalrithni standing in between the two mages as Celia retreated to watch from a distance. Catherine introduced herself after checking out Urd, then spoke of what she’d heard of the two. The party could tell she was a skilled martial fighter by her stance and the way she held herself. After a nat 20 on deception, Kira convinced Catherine she was no one to be worried about. Catherine complimented Ailekk on his mage killing abilities, and Ailekk said something along the lines of, “I can show you.” Catherine backup up, waving to the mage next to her and Ailekk, saying, “Feel free to kill one of them if you’d like.” The mage prostrated himself in front of Ailekk, begging for his life. The group had a conversation. Catherine told them that she was with the Dree Loyalists, who knew that Lightcrown was in cahoots with Lady Corrive under the banner of Tiamatt. They were now involved in a civil war. She told them how the mages and clergy were now being tightly controlled and looked after by the military, who no longer trusted them. Ailekk asked for her help, in a sign of good faith. [retconning this number], Catherine offered 4 Dwargons to escort them to Dravens Port to help kill off the followers of Tiamatt, saying she might accompany them herself. Everyone agreed, with Oron’s voice in Ailekk’s head telling him this might be a bad idea. Before leaving, Catherine made a pass at Urd but he declined. She then called out a pass at Celia, who accepted. She then asked one more time if any of them would like to kill one of the mages. Urd and Ailekk declined. The mage to Kalrithni’s left gurgled as he stabbed her in the back with a poisoned dagger, dealing 124 points of damage to her. The group left, with Ailekk quietly telling Kalrithni (Oron) “Thank you” as they walked out. The party then sparred with Khainan’s 6 monk adepts. Kira and Urd managed to take out one in the first round of combat, then the remaining 5 began stunlocking the entire party and taking out Ailekk first, then Kira, then ganging up on Urd and keeping him stunlocked until he dropped. Celenwe the bard was there to make sure no one died.
