Reposting with a proper header For
the Month of October (and possibly a week or two of November). I will be
running a game where your characters will need to destroy the evil
while trapped inside a house. Please message me with your character concept (just the first level is fine) Game will be played on Wednesdays at 6:15 PM EDT to 10/10:30 PM EDT - Started Oct 10th I currently have two players ready, but need two more. Character Creation: - 5e D&D - All published material, no limit - Starting Stats: All 11+ Racial, every level (including first) +1 ASI (+2 to an ability if you -1 to another) - Roll for GP for your class. Select/create a Trinket that will be intended as a gift. - HP: Max 1st level, advantage on HD every level after -
Planning on 1 - 9/10th level - rapid leveling, get full XP for each
monster the party kills (so you gain 50 XP for killing a goblin). When
you have enough to level, you will and it will be treated as a long rest
(Without the long rest). - Voice only discord -
As flavor, you will be starting as human while currently working as
your background, but when the game actually starts, you will be
transformed into your Race/Class, and deal with the horror you no longer
appear to be you. - Have at least your first 4 levels prepared before playing as you will be leveling quickly - I welcome both new and experienced players, just that you are on time and will make it to the game. - If Interested in sticking around after the story ends I will be running Out of the Abyss (This will be Point-Buy) - Pre-game Story While
in Watersdeep, on a murky, muggy night, a week before All Hallows Eve,
a carriage crosses your path, the horse neighs once before settling
down, snorting hot breath. From inside the open window of the carriage,
a woman moves up to the window. Even while hidden in shadow, for a
moment you could of sworn her eyes glowed red and her silhouette
revealing abnormally long, pointy ears. Her fair hair appearing so
light as to appear white from the darkness, but as she begins to speak,
revealing no sign of age beyond her prime. In an elitist accent,
revealing her to be someone of great authority or influence, she speaks
of your named, not as a question but as a command, you can only nod as
if you would accept any name she called you. She continues on speaking
on how impressed she is with the reputation you have already made for
yourself, in the back of your mind you question your own reputation to
be worth of the faint praise given. She then reveals that she stopped
you because you are invited to the son of Lady Lolingstonworth birthday
celebration, to be held on the night of All Hallows Eve. It would be a
great indignation if you to were not to show up. Her thin, well
manicured but bone like fingers reach out of the window, causing you
to jump back only to reveal between her fingers is an envelope, sealed
with a wax stamp of a circle with eight lines, four on each side. Your
hand shakens subtly as you take it from her hand, the ancient parchment
crinkles lightly as it bends between your fingers but not from hers.
She looks upon you for another second, slowly retreating to the inky
darkness of the inside of the carriage, after you appear to study the
sealed envelope, she speaks again from inside that it will be a costume
party to celebrate All Hallows Day, and for you not to be late.
Immediately without another word, the driver cracks the horse and they
head off into the evening, a whiff of fog billows behind them, seeming
to disappear into the night, the sound of the echoing hooves quickly
fades. You look down at the letter
for what seems like eternity before finally opening it, reading the
Date (All Hallows Eve), time (6:00 PM), and the directions to the
Lolingstonworth Manor situated on a hill only a mile out of the city,
the back of your mind remembers that name belonging to an ancient High
Elf clan that may have occupied this land well before Watersdeep was
even a settlement, however they haven't been heard of in ages, it was
rumored they all vanished in the early days of Watersdeep as it
developed into a city. The letter continues, describing that there will
be games with prizes rewarded, a costume contest, a lavish banquet and
at midnight the birthday boy will open his presents and if the stars
are right, there will be a very special and surprise guest (possibly a
lord?) arriving. As you almost brush off the invite as nonsense, a
powerful urge in the back of your mind sends that thought out of your
mind, nearly compelling the thought that you must go to this party and
arrive on time, who are you to decline the request of a noble (maybe
royal?) high elf. For the rest of the week you become busy
buying/making your costume, and finding the perfect gift (a trinket)
worthy of her son. Time seemingly flies by until that fateful evening,
where you find yourself standing at the entrance of the grounds to the
Manor, beside you, almost seemingly to appear from nowhere three
others, all holding the same letter. Ahead of you, a trail lit with
hanging lanterns, the warm inviting household removes any doubt as you
hear the sound of laughter, music, and the clinking of glasses, bright
light pouring out of the house as the last of the sun's rays kiss the
ground you walk on. Well, time to
party! You and the three other party goers walk up to the house, ready
for a night you will never forget for as long as you shall live!
