Post in here if interested in this campaign. Timezone UTC -05:00 Eastern time. Game
days may be weird, I work in a franchise so they have a habit of
changing my hours every two weeks. So if we are all willing to make
adjustments every so often *currently am on my 2nd week* The first game
will be this Wednesday march 5th at 5:30 pm. *points to time zone above* People new or vets to the system are welcome. First session will include character creation if not done outside of free time. Feel free to contact me by this thread or privet msg/ skype Someonehahahaha. Skype may be used for voice chat but it will fill more of a out of character chat. The game system is Anima Beyond Fantasy. Books being used are Dominus Exxet and Core books. The Gm book is also used. Classes are currently limited to Acrobatic Warrior, Tao and Technician. I am looking for 2-10 players. Character creation - 5 Character points. You can only buy the increase stat to 9 once. - Disadvantage limit is 5 - Stats are 3d10+40 for points. All stats have need to have a min of 1 at creation. note that 1 is like being handicapped. 2-3 is like a child. 4 is medicore. 5 is average 6 being above ave. 7-8 being exceptional. 9 being the top of your class and 10 human peek. 11 and beyond can only be gained with leveling and inhumanity. Aka chi/ki powers, magic and so on. - All characters start off at lvl 0 - All characters start off with a martial art in advanced level free of dp charge. If your character so happens to be a Tao you have the starting martial art at Supreme. Note this does not count for advanced martial arts such as emp ect. - Every character starts with a bonus 50 mk, - The game takes place in a uniqe setting and has a few house rules for extra Martial arts. Sadly the only player race for now is human. - MK techniques and Ki/Chi powers are locked at lvl 0 for role play and will unlock for your characters at pre lvl 0-1 transsision. - The Advantages the Gift and anything dealing with Psyic powers are not useable in this game at character creation. However they can be gained within game through super natural means. - There will be custom martial arts for the setting. Normally its considered Tabou or bad luck to learn more then one arkane style. The truth behind such may be explored within game. - You do not need to choose a defense type for your character in this game. You use ether block or dodge based on the points you spend into defense total. For example if you spent 100 points into defense and it costs 3 points for a point in block and 2 points for a point in dodge then you should have 33 base block and 50 base dodge. This allows you to use your best defense at almost any time and adds abit of realism if you cannot dodge a energy wave attack but you can block it then use block even if its your lower stat. Or if your hands are tied behind your back and you can only shuffle your feet then use dodge. ect. This also allows you to find weak points in your enemies or rivals so this allows for more flexible interesting play. - There will be custom martial arts to learn. Which will be posted in a thread later this night of this post. Character Concepts and Backgrounds The game does take place in a Wuxia setting. I will note that European based Fantasy does however exist within this world but it is not the main focus. You may However play a European setting character but one that grew up under a the main Culture of this setting Perhaps it will make a interesting background story or even Set up for future plots for that character. I would for sure love a detailed Background for a character that may at least be a paragraph long. Like are they native to the village or how did they come onto the village, Why did they become a fighter in the Dojo/Kwoon, Do they even consider themselves a fighter. Do they Have fears or dreams ect. Every character here is likely of the age of 13-15 you are a teen who has been training under the tutelage of a Martial Arts Dojo/Kwoon. Chances are all the player Characters have a good idea of their peers aka the other player characters and Npcs within the village. However that does not mean they know everything lets try to keep it realistic. Below is some information regarding the village the characters start in. The Villages themselves are mostly basic folk with loose connection towards the neighboring cities to the South, North and East. The village its self is mostly a Farming village. There is only three locations for this exact same club of Martial arts. One within the village by a lake, One in the mountains and one within the forest as a training camp where perhaps a few villagers also live in between the forest and lake. The Mountain Dojo/Kwoon is for the elite members and students that the Head Master to which he sends a privet invite to train a select few advanced students the true way of his arts. With his three best disciples who happen to be pretty much on the same level as the head master. All the player characters will start likely within the Forest Dojo/Kwoon or the village by the lake. Both Villages are only one days travel if one walks from each other. And even faster for skilled Runners. It is highly likely your characters have been to both villages many times and you likely have multiple teachers. The villages themselves are rather small and likely do not have more then 100 people in a large way the Dojos/Kwoons serve as the local milita. Most of the teachers at the Forest Dojo and Village location are actually advanced or retired Students. Some of them have not even been selected to train under the Head Master to learn his ways. However As a student you know that even if they did not have such a honor that the teachers are more then capable of beating almost all their students without breaking even a sweat. They are experienced and have had more then their share of fights. The Dojo and Kwoon atmosphere has no formal ranking system for the students. The students and teachers more or less fallow a less defined view of judging on skill level of the user. This is ether shown by performances of skill or ability to fight. To the teacher their is only 3 kinds of students. Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. This skill level is generally judged slightly different from teacher to teacher but more or less the general lines of skill level is the same. For example A teacher may consider a Intermediate student for sure can hold their own in a fight while a Advanced student would most likely win the fight. With the basic level is at risk when fighting a skilled opponent. Gis are often a symbol of your Training and a Sash exist apart of the uniform but represent nothing more then keeping your pants on or in a cultural case your sex. Tied right Side Female Left Side Male. Your Dojo/Kwoons Fighting Colours are Light Pale Blue with Light Pale Green as traditional aspects of both the water and wind representing Agility, Fleaxibility and adaptable. Since their is likely to be many teachers as their are styles. Each village has about 2d4 Martial art teachers within the starting villages which I will role for when we start our game. Rivalry is likely but since they all come from within the same Discipline and from the same teachers they are still likely brothers at arms. Just as You all should be as player characters. Now while the game is focused on martial arts note that martial arts also includes Weapons now both paths are just as acceptable as one or the other. And the three Classes represent a good spread of class balance. Think of Acrobatic Warrior like the typical weapon fighter with the Tao being more focused on the martial arts. And lastly the Technician is all about the special Chi/Ki Powers. All the classes can overlap in the other said abilities stated for there two brother classes. It is just the Prime focus of what each may be best at and Anima Beyond Fantasy is pretty Flexible with ability overlap. Since every class gains a static upgrade to abilities.
