[LFP] [Weekly Wednesdays] [5e] - Digging up the Past

"Long ago, during the Dark Ages, the world was ruled by the Old Gods - the Nine. It was a time of fear and despair. However, one day, Dacan, a common farmer's boy, received a vision. He would lead the scattered Lords against the Nine and defeat them in battle. It took years of wandering, convincing people to join his cause, but as time passed, so did his divine power, which helped.* Soon enough, Dacan and his army of resurgent lords rose up against the Nine, besieging their citadel of Garr. Here, a vicious battle ensued with Dacan's army and the one loyal to the Nine, by choice or madness, until Dacan, with the power of Sutun, King of the Gods, smited the opposing army off the face of this world.* He was crowned emperor, hailed as a hero. However. No one knows where exactly the Nine went after that day, and some fear and speculate, that they may yet be hiding, licking their wounds, and waiting for the coming of their return... ------------------------------------------------ Digging up the Past is a D&D 5e, long-term campaign set in the Empire of Yzarc. The game will start off in the town of Dacalar, a place of little note - until now. Recently, a series of ruins have surfaced in the mountains nearby, and people are drawn in from near and far to take part in the excavation..." About me:  I'm a 27 year old male with 14 years of experience, mostly as a GM. I see myself as friendly and patient, and I love good stories and inter-character banter.
