Rogue trader ship macros

Howdy all i am a big old noob boi at writing macros hell i hardly understand anything beyond the bare basic stuff In ship combat dice rolls go as follows Roll 1d100 Vs Crewskill(this number can change between 3 amounts each between 0 and 100) for every 10 bellow Crewskill get one degree of sucess Then for every DoS we get 1 extra attack roll up to the weapons strength (some weapons for example have strength 4 meaning a max of 4 attack rolls can happen) Then XDYY+XX damage rolls based on the mentioned DoS up to weapons strength. My intention is to have the macro ask the person clicking the button for the weapon strength and then its XDYY+XX damage then simply out put the completed damage rolls if you have any ideas or like Info that would be cool beans yall! thanks in advance

I have some bad news for you. In a Roll20 macro, you cant easily have one roll affecting a later one. So the basic concept here: find the number of damage rolls and then roll them simply isn't possible. Especially if each damage roll can have independent effects. What does a damage rol ldo? Does it simply roll hit point damage, which is then applied to a single ship hit point total? Do you need to know what each hit rolls, or can you simply total them all up and apply the in one mass total? If the latter, you can make a macro to do that (and it wont report anything else, like how many hits - it'll just tell you whether you did 0 damage (a miss) or the total result of all the damage rolls (a hit). Otherwise, the best you can do is have one macro that rolls the attack, and tells you the degree of success, and also prints out a button to roll damage. Then you can click the damage roll button as many times as you need.
ya each damage roll inflicts damage on its own there not added up, Hmmm i guess the best i could go would be making an attack macro and then a seperate damage roll macro with a variable XDYY?
