"One might take the tip of a pencil and magnify it. One reaches the
point where a stunning realization strikes home: The tip is not solid;
it is composed of atoms which whirl and revolve like a trillion demon
planets. What seems solid to us is actually only a loose net held
together by gravity. Viewed at their actual size the distances between
these atoms might become leagues, gulfs, eons. The atoms themselves are
composed of nuclei and revolving protons and electrons. One may step
down further to subatomic particles. Ant then to what? Tachyon? Nothing?
Of Course not. Everything in the universe denies nothing; to suggest an
ending is the one absurdity."
A call for aid is sent out by one who bears the blood of the
line of Arthur Eld. Doorways that have been locked, forgotten and
intentionally hidden begin to creak as the frames bend and swell.
A call sent out across worlds for a ka-tet and ka that may no longer exist. An old call for those that serve the White and those who seek to aid the Tower.
"Beyond the reach of human range,
A drop of hell, a touch of strange..." This game will take place in Midworld. Midworld is large and has
various climate zones/peoples/races but over all the feel of the world
is that of a desolate landscape during a post apocalyptic period. CURRENCY/TRADE/BARTER Though
gold is valuable within Midworld, it may not be what is desired. Trade
and barter are the predominant system of currency. A single battery
could be worth a months worth of food to a person who needs it for some
type of experiment where a gold coin could be worth nothing to someone
who simply wants to have food. "Shopping" isn't something that will
take place regularly, if at all. Rather, items found could be traded
for other items of value. Value meaning different things to different
people. There are 2 things that can usually be traded for anything.
Those are: Tobacco and Coffee. In some cases, chickoree tea may be
valuable as well.j MURDER HOBOS/META GAMERS Will be kicked from the group after 3 strikes/occurrences of such behavior/cheating. PVP Player
vs player combat/attempts to physically stop actions of other
players/attempts to magically stop actions of other players are
permitted, always able to be voided by the DM. Keep in mind however,
there will be in world/in character consequences. This includes
possible death. Alignment A good aligned party composed of
those who stay clear of immoral behavior is suggested and preferred.
However, actions can affect alignment and though you may not want it to
happen, evil actions can lead to a cruel fate. Races *Any
race in the PHB can be chosen as well as races within the DMG. There
will also be 2 homebrew races: The Taheen and the Can-Toi. Both of
these races will have racial traits as the other phb races. Time Period *You
may be from Midworld, a Fantasy world of your choosing, or even the
world (Earth) as we know it today or even a sci-fi futuristic type
world. Keep in mind, the equipment you bring from a certain time period
may or may not be able to be repaired/replaced once in Mid World.
Example. Your laser pistol is smashed and no longer operable. The odds
of it being repaired will be slim to none. Though with the right
tools/components found/magic, perhaps it could be returned to operating
condition. Classes *Any class in the PHB or Xanathars guide
can be chosen. Homebrew classes are subject to DM discretion after
review but it's possible (notice I didn't say probable). There will
also be 1 homebrew class: The Gunslinger. You must be from
Midworld if you take your first level in this class. Otherwise, you
cannot take levels in this class unless you find someone who can train
you as one within Midworld. *If you decided to be from Midworld
and you are a cleric or paladin, your only deity choice is that of Gan.
Your only Domain is that of Knowledge. Ability Score Generation *Roll
3d6 six times. This is one set. You can roll up to 3 sets and then
must chose your fate. You can assign the numbers within the set you
select to the ability scores. Hit Points *You begin
first level with maximum hit points for your class. Every level after
your hit points are rolled. If you roll a 1 you may re-roll. You may
also simply take the average of your hit die. Gaining Levels *Gaining
levels is achieved through training. Once you reach enough experience
to gain a level, you must finish a period of training while not
adventuring (varies per level increase). Once this period is complete,
you may gain your level. Use these as a role play opportunity. Background/Equipment All
classes start with the default amount of money based on their class.
This money is spent on all starting equipment. Any left over gold may
be kept on your person. Any questions please ask!!!! We are looking for up to 5 players.
