[PF 1e] Separating spell lists for multiple spellcaster levels

November 06 (6 years ago)

I'm in a gestalt game playing a wizard/inquisitor but when I go to create two separate spell lists even when I designate which spell is on which list roll20's Pathfinder community sheet just lumps all the spells together.  For cantrips, thanks to my archetypes I get all cantrips on my spell list, which when written down is over 35 spells (some duplicates) that I need to search through.  Checking off that I have multiple caster classes doesn't seem to help either-it'll split the classes to show how many spells they have and can cast, but the list itself is still this one long database of every spell.  Is there any way to have the lists separated by class?

Just as a heads up, I would highly discourage putting all 35 cantrips that are in your spellbook in the sheet. Only put the ones you are actually likely to use. Trying to replicate an entire spell list in a sheet is just asking for performance issues.

Sorry, no suggestion on your actual question though.

Originally I had thought I could split the sheets up so it wouldn't be as bad, but I'll take your advice to heart if I can't find a solution.

Not currently. ;-(  The sheet has lumped all spells together by level, regardless of class, since it's inception over three years ago.  This was done out of necessity due to the sheer number of attributes used for spells.  We looked at creating separate spell sections based on class and decided the amount of additional code and performance hit wasn't worth the benefit. Sorry.

Suggestion: spells kept on the sheet should only be the ones you use most often, others should be dragged to the sheet as needed and later removed to help reduce performance issues.

You might try using two sheets.  Use a second sheet just for your inquisitor spells...

Damn...alright, I'll just trim my list down to the ones I use the most often then.  Thanks for the help.
