Hi Saba. The Tavern campaign here is sort of a club or meeting spot for enthusiasts of 2nd edition. It's not often a game in this campaign but we can play game sessions from time to time (Read the intro text of the Tavern again to get the idea of this). You can enter the game room (hit Join Game) and click around for testing purposes if you want to see the dice roller. Another tip is to Create Campaign yourself, as if you are starting to GM a campaign but you don't have to invite anyone, just practice setting up character sheets and such. I agree with brandon, a lot of people make characters & maintain sheets off-Roll20 on another site like mythweavers, or on paper at home.
