[LFP][Pathfinder 1E][Discord] Need 1-2 More Players; Homebrew Setting; Long Term Campaign; Sun Evenings; New Players Welcome!

Edited 1542505727
Edit 2 : Hey everyone! I just wanted to thank everyone for their interest. Since I was only looking to pick up one or two players, I really had to narrow it down. I've sent PMs to invite some of you to join- but for the rest of you, if there's any drop outs, I'll definitely send out more invites to the people who've posted here, or maybe set up a new thread. Again, thank you for your time! Hello! So, where to start- I go by Lykos, I'm 22, and I've been GMing off and on for a few years- I've ran Changeling: The Lost, Shadowrun (4E), and some Pathfinder one-shots, in addition to playing in a couple long term Pathfinder games, Exalted, and a bit of Fate and homebrew systems. Currently, I'm working on my first big, ambitious, long term game, with a custom setting, gods, races- the whole shebang. I've got a lot of writeups about the setting you'll be able to read in the campaign's journal once you've joined. (To see a basic write up of the setting- it'd take up too much space here- see the game's listing here .) So, some details about the game- you'll be playing 1st level characters who've taken up a job to solve some problems (which will be explained to you at a meeting with one of the townsfolk) for a small village named Paragon's Rest. After that's resolved (or not), the plan is for it to be a big sandbox- whatever plot hooks interest you, the story will follow (though each character will have a campaign trait that ties them into the big events of Hogakuni (the setting), to provide a bit of direction). We're using (among a number of other houserules) Path of War, Spheres of Power (replacing Vancian casting), Background skills, and a modified version of Automatic Bonus Progression. As for the general focus of the game- combat, exploration, puzzles, RP, etc- I imagine it'll have a bit of everything, depending on what the players enjoy and what goals they pursue. Still, I personally quite enjoy playing out NPCs, and I think I have the most fun when players are really getting into playing their character, so social/RP stuff will definitely feature at least a bit.  As for time- the current players are all free Sunday evenings (spread across the US timezones, myself being EST)- the current time we're looking at is to start at 8pm EST and go for 4 or so hours, but could likely shift that start time a few hours earlier, if need be. We'll be using a Discord server for general communication (text chat between sessions, and voice chat during), and, of course, Roll20 for all the maps, rolling, character sheets, etc. I think that's all the main details! If I've forgot anything important, feel free to ask and I'll update it. As for what I'd like from you, please, either in replies to this thread or in PMs to me, share with me the following details: Name: (What you'd like to be called) Age: (Your age) Experience: (Your experience with Tabletop in general, and Pathfinder/Path of War/Spheres of Power specifically. No experience at all is required, but me knowing your experience level is useful) Your availability: (Your timezone, and if the time (both starting and ending) works for you, or if you'd need to shift it a few hours earlier) Your favorite past character: (Tell me about your favorite character you've ever played in a Tabletop game (Pathfinder or otherwise)! If this would be your first game, feel free to skip this, or perhaps tell me about a second character concept you'd be interesting in trying, in addition to the below) A character concept: (While you'll be working with the other players to form a party that'll function well together (mechanically and RP-wise), and with me to fit your character into the setting, tell me about an idea you have for a character!) About Yourself: (Whatever other miscellaneous details you'd like to share.) That should be it- Thank you for your interest! Edit : Originally listed the system we were using as 'Spheres of Might', instead of what we're actually using, 'Spheres of Power'. Thankfully, it seems like most people figured out what I actually meant from context clues.

Name: Dylan Age: 18 Experience: A few months of pathfinder Your availability: free all Sunday Your favorite past character: Alchemist, investigator A character concept: Alistair Sullivan, a human alchemist or half elf investigator
Name: Arthrine Age: 34 Experience: I've been playing Pathfinder for just under a year, and have a total of approximately 80 sessions experience with it (about 1/4 of which I've been the GM for).  I don't have any experience with Path of War or Spheres of Power. Your availability: I'm in CST, and I'm available any time on Sundays. Your favorite past character: I enjoy trying out new types of characters, but my favorite is probably an elf admixture wizard (who I've made three versions of for various campaigns).  I'm currently going through a mostly martial character phase (12th human 2h Fighter in one campaign and 4th UC Jabbing Style monk in another), however, I'd like to branch out and play some classes that I've not yet tried. A character concept: I tend to decide what I want to do mechanically first, and then build my character concept from there.  Since I enjoy trying new and different classes, I'm usually pretty malleable when it comes to making something that will work with the party.  That said, here are a few classes that I'm interested in trying at the moment: Arcanist Shaman Witch (probably Winter Witch) Inquisitor Antipaladin About Yourself: I enjoy Pathfinder a great deal, and one of the things I like best about it is that no two campaigns are alike!  Each game has its own separate feel and slight modifications to the rules, which really prevents me from getting bored.

Name: (BAD DATA) or just Bad  Age: 18 Experience: i've been playing ttrpgs for a few years now, some G.R.U.P.S. and stuff but mostly pathfinder, I am very experienced in the pathfinder rpg and its rules, I have heard of Path of war and Spheres of Power but ive never used them. Your availability: sunday, PST noon till midnight. Your favorite past character: Ahh what was my favorite past character? IT  was called DEGA, in a 19 month long game I grew a Level 1 Nobody in to Level 40/mythic rank 20/ Divine rank 7 god. overspecialized in crafting and a patron of constructs. he was fun to play, crafting made DEGA infinitely versatile, but he was lonely, generally players were reluctant to come to him for help (Items, surgery) as they figured DEGA would craft failsafes or faults into what DEGA gave them so I could dick them over if they disagreed with me(I never  did do that). so DEGA spent most of its time in its plane of Degia, crafting and talking with its creations. A character concept: A Lawful Neutral human Cavalier (Constable, Order of the Hammer) Who is just a Knightly peacekeeper, but I may revise that entirely once I know more about Path of war and Spheres of Power. regardless, I will likely make very Pragmatic Lawful Neutral Human, that will get along with any party that's okay with stopping and thinking rationally.  About Yourself: Gaming is my passion, and something you may want to know is that my discord doply doo is: (BAD DATA) #6956 call me up, you can interview me a little and maybe I could ask you some questions.

Name: John Age: Old(er/ish) 45 Experience: (Experience with Tabletop in general ( 30+yrs ), and Pathfinder ( 6yrs ) /Path of War ( 3yrs )/Spheres of Power ( negligible but have read up on it some )  specifically. No experience at all is required, but me knowing your experience level is useful) Your availability: (Your timezone, ( CST ) and if the time works for you ( currently listed day & time work fine so long as it's not more than 4hr game ), or if you'd need to shift it a few hours earlier) Your favorite past character: (Orc Brawler, Mutagen mauler named Bylee - Since the game was a 15pt stat buy, you're more or less forced to min/max stat wise in order to make them effective characters which meant all mental stats became dump stats and with an already impressive -2 racial to all mental stats for Orcs, not 1 of them was above 5 and whenever he drank his mutagen, it dropped another 2pts making him just barely still sentient. Having played old-school games where if you didn't RP to your stats, it was punishable, I RP'd my stats VERY well. Think Homer Simpson meets Curly from the 3 Stooges type. Long story short, he was so stupid, he was VERY much the comic relief of the party and everyone loved him) A character concept: ( Race : Suli  Class : Warlord , - Martial tradition: Empyreal Guardian . Role: Frontline tank & DPS) About Yourself: (Retired US Army 20yrs so I know a little about teamwork & tactics and am pretty good at thinking "outside the box". I'm an old hand at D&D & have played 1st ed on up to, but stopped at 4th ed (didn't care for 4th ed & not a fan of 5th either, 3.5 & Pathfinder being the best.). Let me know if I sound like a good fit & I'll get to building my character. Otherwise, good luck with the game.)
Name: Anti Age: 24 Experience: (Your experience with Tabletop in general, and Pathfinder/Path of War/Spheres of Power specifically. No experience at all is required, but me knowing your experience level is useful) Been playing tabletop since 2012, most experience is pathfinder though I've played a few homebrews and other systems aside. The group I normally play with has been incorporating Spheres since they came out, and Path of War was used heavily before that.  Your availability: Available weekends, from 6PM up to whenever. I don't sleep early when I don't have to. Your favorite past character: My favorite character was a Spheres Symbiat named Miguel Rado, who took the Dragon companion boon and so was linked to a small copper dragon named Corro. With the dragon being his magic focus, we fluffed him out to be mind-linked to the dragon and so his only magic was in the Mind and Telekinesis spheres.  A character concept: I would probably make an Incanter, though I hesitate to state a specialization without first seeing the makeup of the party. Incanters are basically the Fighters of casting classes, with so many options that you have to take care not to spread too thin. It could be an ancient Elf who communes with Nature to provide support to the party through environmental effects, a tiefling trickster who uses the subtle spheres of Mind and Illusion to sneak about right under the enemy's nose, or even a telekinetic who controls the battlefield by tangibly enacting his will upon anything within his sight. About Yourself: I've actually been looking for a game with a friend of mine (who will post shortly after me) and I'd pretty much given up on finding a Spheres game. I've built many spheres characters in the past (even if I've only played a few), so I'm pretty sure I can get one for any party comp if the Incanter is a no go.
Name: King Age: 22 Experience: Been playing since 2012, have tried a lot of different systems and even homebrewed a few, though the only games that stick with my normal group is Pathfinder. I actually have a good bit of experience playing with/GMing with Path of War/Spheres of Might/Power, so it shouldn't be an issue. Your availability: Atlantic Timezone. A Saturday gametime would be ideal but I'm good on sunday and every other Friday as well. Can probably shift things around if need be though. Your favorite past character: Solus Naamio, a faceless warlock of Insert-Obviously-Evil-Goddess-Here, but a generally stand-up guy. It was my first game in 5E and ended up being a pretty fun romp through Fantasy-Medieval-Europe. He and the Paladin would constantly get into shenanigans, and the party even ended up robbing a bank once. Alignment was complicated in that campaign. A character concept: I've been meaning to play a sage-esq character for awhile now, so with the release of the Sage class from Spheres I figure it might be a good time to try. Expect a Monk-like character who really uses his wisdom. About Yourself: Normally I'm stuck GMing in my groups so I'm looking forward for a chance to play in a reliable campaign.
One thing I'm concerned on is the general balance. Typically, SoP/M is used to bring down the power level of casters to martial level, but Path of War is used to bring up the versatility of martials to casters level (or at least strong T3) In other words, you usually want one or the other, not both.
Name: TJ Age: 27 Experience: About 4 years of pathfinder experience as both GM and Player.  Your availability: EST time zone. 8pm on sundays should be no problem for me. Might be a couple days i'm late depending on my job, but no reason i shouldn't be able to make it.  Your favorite past character: My favorite character i've ever played was a Human Slayer who was a self-proclaimed "Bounty Hunter Extraordinaire" who lived up to his own hype. Felling giants and bluffing his way into and out of most of the problems the party ran into. At one point he demolished a cliff face with a Minotaurs greataxe causing a rockslide that took out an entire encampment of demons below.  A character concept: I have a few character concepts. My favorite one by far is a Human Vigilante with the Wild Soul archetype. Literally spiderman, backstory and all. Not very creative, but I've wanted a chance to play it for a while now, and with recent events, i believe it would be a great Homage.   A Goblin Bardbarian (Barbarian/Bard) named Squit who is a literal pinball. Soaks damage and grapples enemies. He was experimented on by an alchemist and his stomach was fused with a bag of holding creating a quasi-blackhole within him.  A Ghoran Fighter (Eldrich Guardian Archetype) with a Raccoon familiar.  About Yourself: I've always had a knack for story-telling and have always loved mythological fantasy. When i was first introduced to pathfinder i had wanted to play DnD for a while, but had never been able to find a group. I found that i enjoyed coming up with ideas for characters more than I actually enjoyed playing the game, and began building campaigns incorporating the characters i'd come up with, but could never find a group that fit the mind-set i had of what a party could (not should) be. Now I've hung up my GM hat and am looking to just sit back and have some fun from the other side of the board.

Name: Dyl Age: 30 Experience: A couple years of pathfinder on roll20.net 10+years tabletop. Your availability: available Sunday Your favorite past character: Diqee Wincent.  I rolled for stats, got an 18 and a 17 and +2 for dex and cha and my Halfling Filcher was fun. Thieves don't last long but he was very fun to play. A character concept: Lyss, she is... race: Vishkanya, class: Serpentine Sorcerer.  She likes snakes and poison. Dual wielding poison  kukris or poison arrows.    I'm GeezOh #9539 on discord.
Name: (What you'd like to be called) Des Age: (Your age) 34 Experience: (Your experience with Tabletop in general, and Pathfinder/Path of War/Spheres of Power specifically. No experience at all is required, but me knowing your experience level is useful) 5 years,  ive played a little of everything, just pathfinder more. Your availability: (Your timezone, and if the time (both starting and ending) works for you, or if you'd need to shift it a few hours earlier) The time you have listed is fine,  I am mountain time, typically I can play 3 to 4 hours,   ( or my bf may have my head for not spending time with him.) Your favorite past character: (Tell me about your favorite character you've ever played in a Tabletop game (Pathfinder or otherwise)! If this would be your first game, feel free to skip this, or perhaps tell me about a second character concept you'd be interesting in trying, in addition to the below).  My current favorite character is a Shaman named Zelda ( yes Zelda ),  her kingdom was taken over and to save her,  her father teleported her to an unlikely group of mercenary heros,  ( as destiny fortold that one of them would save her home,  they were pretty reluctant to at first ). A character concept: (While you'll be working with the other players to form a party that'll function well together (mechanically and RP-wise), and with me to fit your character into the setting, tell me about an idea you have for a character!) Rogue is an Eldritch scoundrel ( Rogue ),  she works as a scholar, treasure hunter,  and magic relic hunter,  prefering to avoid everyday people problems she takes off on adventures...( But still when someone needs help she does her best to help them.)  Shes not a traditional thief or killer...She actually gives a damn about others. About Yourself: (Whatever other miscellaneous details you'd like to share.),  Lets see now that you asked im Gay,  I tend to enjoy story tellingI (RP),  I do make weird characters usually not for combat but this one will be a bit.,  I like GMs to be fair.
Name: Nick Age: 28 Experience: Around 7 years in tot with pathfinder. Quite a bit with Path of War.&nbsp; Your availability: I am EST and any time on Sunday works just fine for me! Your favorite past character: I played a skinwalker Swashbuckler who first manifested his *change* on his wedding night, ruining what would have been a blissful life married to the love of his life when after changing her scarred her and killed his father in law. He fled his home country to escape the wrath of the law and the furious former fiance and became something of a wandering duelist. Be eventually fell in with a party, fell in love with a Half-Orc Shamaness and faced his past head on. It was a ver well encapsulated story. A character concept: I have a vision for a monk character who his order believes is the reincarnation of their founder, one of several i.e the Dalai and Panchan Llama. Who maybe left his order on a quest to retrace his past selves footsteps or out of a desire to escape the legacy that fate has set out for hin. About Yourself: check out this link!&nbsp;<a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/lfg/comments/9qdwy6/onlinepathfinderest_experienced_player_looking/" rel="nofollow">https://www.reddit.com/r/lfg/comments/9qdwy6/onlinepathfinderest_experienced_player_looking/</a>
Name: Liam Age: 18 Experience: About four years total in tabletop, a good chunk of it is Pathfinder but also includes D&amp;D 5E, warhammer 40k fantasy flight games, Stars without numbers and Mutants &amp; Masterminds. As for the third party material listed, I've never tried Path of War but I've taken a look at it and get the basic gist of it. I've never used Spheres of Power but I have used Spheres of Might. Availability: Timezone is PST, the current time you guys are planning to game would be good for me My favorite past character: Dhampir Paladin i played a few years back. It was by all means a horrible combination but i had fun roleplaying him and trying to overcome the many disadvantages that came with that combo. Character concept: I'm very flexible on character concepts and generally don't have many of them stored up for future use, as I generally like to work on characters once i know more about the setting as i generally work best with limitations. However from the top of my mind Samurai is a class i've never played and wouldn't mind trying, and seeing as the setting seems to take a lot of inspiration from Japan i think it would fit. About Myself: I have GMing experience though not a whole lot, and most of it is from running adventure paths. Most games i've played are generally more combat focused rather than RP so that's what i'm used to but i can certainly adapt. Favorite class in the game is paladin though i've been trying to branch out more and try classes i don't generally play.
Name: Patrick Age: 24 Experience: I have played some Pathfinder and Savage Worlds oneshots as well as a campaign on StarWars RPG Your availability: Eastern Time. Mondays and Wednesdays 4 o clock till whenever. Every other day 10 AM till about 2 Your favorite past character: I really liked my Ratman archer I used on my Pathfinder oneshots. The image of some sneaky little vermin skittering around putting arrows in people was fun to play in my head while we played. A character concept: Well I haven't gotten the chance to implement the idea. I like the notion of a half-crazed gnoll barbarian that uses natural weapons to tear dudes apart. I like the idea of some hyena-man thing tackling a guy and tearing him to pieces......I may have some anger issues lol. The one time I tried it, I tried to make what is basically a gnoll version of that crazy goblin biter class but the GMs were very strict with rules and wouldn't let me borrow the requisite feats. I hope you guys put 'having fun' above following the laws to the letter. About Yourself: I'm very active in my academic and work life, and have been using videogames to fill in the gaps. It's starting to get real boring (not a lot of even half-decent RPGs out nowadays) so I wanted to pick back up on TTG after a few months break. It might take me a bit to recall all the little details but I still know the gist of things.

Name: Nicholas Age: 24 Experience: 4 Years of Pathfinder, no experience with SoP or PoW though. Availability: Saturday-Sunday PST anytime Favorite Past Character:&nbsp; my Favorite Character ever was a Unchained Monk (Lizardfolk) named Trokek. His tribe was visited by Irori missionaries, and he was one of the lucky few that were permitted by the tribe to go with the missionaries to study their way of fighting and other knowledge. Imagine Drax the Destroyer, but with the Craziness dialed back a little bit more. It was a blast to roll play a curious reptilian warrior trying to understand the finer points of "warmblood" civilization. it led to a lot of funny and awkward scenarios. he was also terrifying in combat. the only thing worse the a ferocious predator is a ferocious predator that knows magical kung-fu, and can use pounce AND has lightning fists. &nbsp;Character Concept: TBH I'd really like to bring Trokek back, but that really all depends on party composition(are lizardfolk even part of this setting?). I did have a concept for a saucy Flame Oracle who makes use of Bluff-Disguise to hide the fact that she's a half-orc (if racism is a big thing in the setting). I'm also unsure of how useful a fire-based blaster will be in your campaign. If its outsider heavy, then I might want to bench it and make her Alchemist instead. I might also want to play a wizard. For a while I've had a concept for an arcane mage who is less pointy-hatted bookworm, and more of a mystical craftsman and blacksmith. A mild-mannered, blue-collar kind of wizard who follows the Creation-subschool. He also may or not have a drinking "problem". I am a bit hesitant about going with wizard though, I'm REALLY nervous about the early level grind for wizards.&nbsp; About Me: I just moved in for my new job as a programmer, but its a slow start. not much work to keep me busy, and all my roommates are shut-ins who don't want to go out and have fun. I used to play PF with my college buds, and I'm lookin forward to rekindling my love for the game. Heres to the next best thing! playing online!
Name: When online, I go by Nethis Age: 25 Experience: I have quite a lot of experience with D&amp;Ds 3.5, and 5e. I have less experience with pathfinder, but i know most of the changes from the other games. The only help i should need is a refresher on some of the more obscure rules. Your availability: I live on the east coast USA (EST) and Sundays are perfect for me. I would prefer it being shifted an hour earlier, but if others are okay with the time I can deal with it. Your favorite past character: My favorite character was a support druid that drastically focused on her animal companion. She took feats and spells that would improve the combat capability of her companion making it at whirl of destruction. I am a HUGE fan of pet classes in RPGs! A character concept: There are several I have drifting around in my head. Before I make one, i'd like to see what the other members would like to play. The only thing i'm not willing to play are religious characters like clerics and paladins. If i had to choose one, I would make another brawler with a twist or a titan mauler. My characters aren't usually min-maxed either unless the game calls for it. This means i usually like trying out new builds for the characters that aren't usually played. For example, my last campaign I ran a Dex Brawler. About Yourself: I'm very easy going and it will be incredibly difficult to make me angry based on character choices. The only time tend to get annoyed when playing these games if RNJesus hates me and I role a natural 1 twice in a row or so. If you have any questions, just hmu on here or pm me on discord (nethis93#0522)
Name: Obe (OH-Bee), Chris Age: 26 Experience: Been Playing D&amp;D since 2010 with the following systems:&nbsp; Pathfinder, 3.5, 4e, 5e, Warhammer Dark Heresy. Your availability: EST Wednesdays and late-night weekends are best for me. Your favorite past character: I have played as an Elf who developed a liking to dwarvish culture, which even went as far as to marry a dwarf woman that would oft be brought up in many ventures away from home during adventures and with companions and such that I would have eventually be able to keep portal rituals on standby to ensure my family would keep together xD. A character concept: I'm thinking of a magical student who seeks to use the world as its teacher, to experience the realm and its very core as the foundation of his final apprenticeship before finally resigning to a tutelage for others. About Yourself: I have social anxiety but I'm a capable communicator once my shell is broken.&nbsp; I also love to crack jokes, but moreso to immerse myself in a Lotr imagery world with fantasy at my fingertips and describe scenes of my character's actions and the world around him, even when the RNG fails me over and over I love just describing how I fail xD.&nbsp; My discord is Obe#2537

Name: Dany Age: 18 Experience: I've been playing Pathfinder since early 2014,&nbsp;I've run two games to completion and I've played in countless one-shots and short campaigns. I've been looking for something long term for the longest time, so getting into this game would be a huge help! Availability: The time the current game is set works fine for me. However, after 3PM pst on Tuesdays and Thursdays works well too, as well as after 1:30 PST on Wednesdays. I can't do the rest of the week. I actually work until 2:30 PST so if the game would be pushed a few hours earlier, it might conflict with my schedule. Favorite Past Character: I once created a bard named Elanof&nbsp;Dalison, who I played from level 3-7. He was probably my best-roleplayed character, and I'm glad I achieved much with him. He shot down a dragon using his hero points, he saved a dying child, he mesmerized an entire room of guards, and he started his own bardic college, named after him. When he finally died, his party created a sacred place to bury him named "The Fall." Character Concept: I can honestly fit well into any group. I don't mind playing support character or front liners. If I do end up playing a spellcaster, however, you'll have to deal with me fiddling around a bit as I usually do not enjoy wizard or sorcerers or the like. I suppose in this campaign: I would love to play the squire of a fallen paladin. After abandoning the master paladin, our squire goes on to follow her God in her own way, hoping to one day bring back the master to their former glory. A rogue, hoping to make amends for his wrongdoings by doing things he sees as just and right. As the saying goes, old habits die hard. More of a dirty fighter, this rogue does good in his own ways. (NG rogue) A fighter who has taken a liking to starknives. This one is more of a mechanic type build, but I've always been interested in a character who threw starknives as their main weapons.&nbsp; About Yourself: I'm currently an art student in university, hoping to get into creating art for games and other media. I'm also a writer, and I like to think I'm pretty good at designing games as I've run quite a few games and I've created lots of card games in the past. I fence at a national level (saber), and I enjoy tabletop RPGs! I'm currently living with two roommates so you might hear them in the background for some games, but it shouldn't be an issue as I have push to talk on. Something that should be noted is that I've never used Spheres of Power or Path of War before, so I may need some help adjusting to that!

Just a reminder to folks :&nbsp; Roll20 is not a place for debating system rules.&nbsp; At a minimum you risk post deletion for being off-topic, as happened to some posts here.
Hey everyone!
