About myself: Hey, the names Kalem but I usually just go by whatever I'm playing as. I have over a decade of experience in D&D and about half that time in Pathfinder. Mostly as a DM myself. I am a Role player above all else really. I sometimes can get hung up on curtain rules as I have been DMing for years and that DM mentality does sometimes cause me to be a bit more assertive at times when I'm sure a curtain rule applies. I am fully aware of myself and incredibly self conscious so trust me if you feel like I'm being a wangrod I KNOW I'm being a wangrod and feel just as bad for it. I love getting into my characters and I love interacting with worlds and NPC's. interpersonal relationships and all that. But of course I also love SMITING EVIL WITH HOLY MITE!!!. I really like playing with others who are friendly and know how to separate themselves from their characters to a reasonable degree. I like it when everyone knows how to communicate to at least a small degree even outside of game as I really do want to get along with everyone and get to know them so that I don't accidentally step over any boundaries they might have. I have a character I've REALLY wanted to play for the longest time now but sadly haven't been able to since most LFG page GM's don't seem to be adding anyone as of late. Like seriously I've seen over a dozen games in the last month where the GM totally flaked and added NO ONE to their game. which personally I feel is just rude. They had dozens of applications written up for their games but in the end added No one. Lastly I just want to find a game where I can sit back, relax and do goofy voices with other people online while enjoying a good story. For the character I'll drop in a application template I used earlier today. I really want to play this character in some form. 1. Name: Kalem but I normally just go by whatever I'm playing as ^^. 2. Age: 26 3. Character Name/Class: Emilia Faywater, Human Variant, Fighter (Battle master when level 3) will multi-class into paladin at some point. 4. Character Backstory: not sure on which background to take as of yet. Sorry if it's a bit long ^^' Emilia is a young woman fresh out of paladin Boot camp. However she has yet to earn her place in the ranks of paladins. Not for lack of faith but rather for the difficulties of training her. While most of the other candidates who entered training along side her have long since either fallen out or been knighted into the paladin ranks, Emilia has always fallen short of the expectations required of a paladin. She has always been small even for a woman. Her father claims and in fact Brags on occasion that her mother was a beautiful Halfling bard who he managed to woo. Sadly the joining of Human and Halfling was to much for her mother to handle with her birth. Emilia has since learned to view her fathers claims with a healthy amount of skepticism as the story is not always kept strait. Sometimes he says she died giving birth, other times he says she was kidnapped by some swashbuckling debonair adventurer. She is slowly leaning towards the later of the two. In any case the restrictions of her heritage would pose a serious problem for her for years. That is of course soon to change. The Knight Sir Geriath Lestrange, in charge of her training has seen her devotion and deeply regrets her struggles. It has been on no few occasions that he has suggested her to simply become a cleric of the church and to accept the boons of their god in place of becoming a paladin. He was beyond sure that Emilia qualified, probably more so than most as he would be hard pressed to find anyone more devoted to the church than her or anyone who had read as much on their history or holy texts. In terms of the academics required of a paladin she passed with flying colours and would in fact be over qualified. But her scores in the obstetrical courses, mock battles and even survivalist training were so low that not even her academic credentials could make up for it. Most candidates either drop out or are promoted long before ever reaching their 20s. Not wanting such talents and unshakable willpower to go to waste Geriath came up with a plan. Early the next day he kicked Emilia strait out of her bunk at an ungodly hour, dragged her out to the training yard and presented her a suit of armor and a bastard sword. The sword looked like something strait out of a final fantasy game when held by Emilia, standing nearly as tall as herself. Geriath had a mission for her and he'd be damned to doubt she would accomplish it or die trying. Her mission was simple. Go out into the country side and make a name for herself. If the knight candidate trials wouldn't accept her than she would have to prove herself beyond any shadow of a doubt that she deserved the title. (Writing this at 5 am so sorry if it's not the most coherent ^^'. I want to try and play a fighter who aspires to become a paladin. I don't know anything about your setting or restrictions so I've tried to keep it as generic a backstory as I could make it. I see that derek is playing a paladin so maybe we could be from the same order. Or not. Would be a good way to have our characters have some kind of connection.) Emilia: Geriath:
About Me: Hello there my name is John been playing D&D for 2 and half years now, mostly 5e. Will be 25 in a couple months so I hope can meet your age requirement. Been spending the last year as DM for my homebrew, but now have some more free time and would like to spend being a player again. I tend to do the damage for the party hitting as hard at as many as I can, while trying to exploit enemy weaknesses. Outside of combat I tend to keep close to whatever my character would do in the situation, while trying to lead to funny situations. I love to get into character and roleplay. I do voices as well, some good, most bad, but there is always effort in my RPing. Second I just love character interactions that leads to a good joke or memorable moment as those what really makes the game that more enjoyable for me. If everyone is actively interacting with each other, then it feels more of an interactive game then sitting around dead silent for 80% percent of the session. One thing that I do not particularly like are cringy awkward moments, it completly just throws me off and makes me awkwardly silent. Also repeating myself more than three times (see #2 guy from Austin Powers) it just bugs the hell out of me. My Character: I would like to see if I can bring a brand new character to life in your world: Roark Skullaxe the Half-Orc Ranger (Beast Master Subclass) with multi-classing as a rouge Roark is self conscious about being an orc . For the first 17 hellish years of his existence, he has a little experience of love, compassion, or decency from his fellow full-blooded orc peers, brothers, his chieftain father, or his enslaved human mother. Through their own methods, they each tried to turn him into a cold, savage, warrior all in part to fulfill a prophecy of greatness and glory the tribe's shaman predicted Roark was bound to become. Instead, all of his strict orc training to wield the tribe's signature skull axes, and second hand instructions of his imperial scout mother all had opposite effects on the half-orcs mental psyche. He became timid, a disillusioned perfectionist, disgusted with his looks for not being a full orc for his father and a monster to his mother. Upon reaching adulthood, Roark was given one free wish by the tribe, his wish: his mother's freedom. As a thank you and as an apology, from training to wield her bow and her years of confinement. Roark would come to regret this as weeks later imperial soldiers would raid his village. The Roark fathers, brothers, and remaining survivors blamed him for their home being destroyed and proceeded to brutally mutilate him and leave him out to bleed. Drifting in and out of consciousness, Roark's father kneels down to him and whispers down to him "We go and rebuild, you fulfill your prophecy for the tribe. Fail by the time tribe has returned to full strength, we hunt you, we finish you." and disappears with the other orcs. Bow in one hand, axe in the other, hiding most of the wounds in armor and a cloak, Roark drags himself for the next settlement knowing that his clock is now ticking.
About me: I'm 25, most people call me Artem. I've been playing TTRPGs on occasion since 15, but only recently got the spark to commit to a more regular game, and I'm loving it. My current face-to-face campaign in Pathfinder is going a break, and I'm looking for a chance to meet different kinds of players and improve my own roleplay, which I'm not the most confident about. I haven't played 5ed DnD before, but I'm pretty familiar with the rules. And I really, really like reading rules. Personality-wise, I'm a pretty mild guy, some would even say indifferent. I get along with pretty much everybody, except people who are full of themselves. I am most fond of people with flexible mindsets, who can and are willing to entertain viewpoints even if they are wildly different from their own. I do tend to get mildly annoyed when people are not focused on the task at hand. I'm not a native English-speaker, but I like to think I speak pretty clearly nevertheless. The character I was thinking of playing: Galen, Half-Elven Fighter (Arcane Archer) - Chaotic Good Raised in a small and remote village by human parents, Galen has always known he's adopted, but never really cared. Until one day, when hunting with his father, his arcane abilities manifested. Since then, Galen has been burning with the desire to learn more about his true heritage and powers. Now he applies his skills as an adventurer and a mercenary, seeking jobs that have to do with the magical and hoping to find someone or something that could shed some light on the questions that weigh him. He struggles with letting his drive for answers cloud his compassion for others, but tries to be the good man his parents raised him to be.
About me: My name is Curtis, and go by as such! I'm a fairly mellow individual, that enjoys making fun of things, and not sweating the small things. I work for a software company in the Fort Worth area of Texas, and spend much of my day wishing I was doing something else. I used to read a lot, but fell of that wagon once I had my daughter. I'm 29, though I feel about 50, and am all grown up. I tend to get along with most, especially if they're the odd ball in a group, as that has always been me. I'm one of those weirdos that will watch horror movies for fun, and sleep like a baby afterwards. I'm naturally drawn to the more macabre side of things, enjoying my fantasy dark, and my coffee loaded with creamer. As for the types of people I don't tend to get along with...the type that will use any discussion as a platform for their personal agenda, especially when it comes to politics. I'm very much one to keep my personal beliefs to myself, unless someone really wants to know. What I love? The macabre. Horror. Things that go bump in the night. I also love metal music, eating pizza, and cooking. What I love most of all though, is my daughter. Hopefully she will one day have the passion for D&D that I do. My Character: Luthion - Drow Warlock (Pact of the Tome - Great Old One Patron) Luthion wanted nothing more than a better status in life. He had unmagical parents, who were intent on him following their footsteps as glass workers and eventually taking over the business. To him, such a life was dreary, as those around him would go on to become city guards, students of the arcane, or even wily thieves. Whatever anyone else ended up doing in life seemed more appealing to Luthion than his current station. Sure, he tried to join the City Guard...but was told they were full up. So he then went to the school of the Arcane, in order to become a mighty wizard. Turns out...you need to have an affinity for such things. Finally, he tried to take up the craft of being a thief. Unfortunately, he didn't have the nerve to do it. Everything he attempted didn't work, and only lead to him going back to his parents shop. Until he found the book. It happened, as these things often do, by happenstance. He had made a delivery to a small settlement, and had paused to take a rest by the side of a pond. As he gazed into the water, wanting nothing more than to turn into a fish and live a life of simplicity and ignorance, he heard the voice of madness calling him. Beckoning him. Enticing him to rise from his spot, and wade into the water, until he could no longer stand. Once there, he was given direction on how to recover the book from the depths of the pond, the things promised to him unspeakable. And as he pulled the remarkably dry piece of literature from the inky water of the pond, he opened it to discover a language so vivid that it caused him to wince. But for a small payment, the voice promised, the secrets of everything would be revealed. So Luthion paid the price. What is losing an eye, when you have the secrets of the cosmos at your fingertips? Luthion can now count himself among those with skill in the Arcane, and he didn't need to spend his life in school to get there. He may not have perfect depth perception, and see only the impending entropy of the universe when he dreams, but at least he can cast spells now!
The most important part of this post, obviously! I need you to tell us about yourself. -Im a calm, chill person. I'd like to know about your personality, the types of people you get along best with (and the ones you don't), -I hate controlling people and liars. -I get along well with fun loving people and free spirits. 2 things in the world you absolutely love, and a couple pet peeves. -I love Ice cream. -I love freedom -I don't like being held back or chained down. -I don't like being ordered around. Tiefling or Human warlock.Great Old One. Hes just a really inquisitive guy. Wants to roam throughout the world learning as much as he can from as many people as possible. Hes an adventurer. Wants to have a fun time with some fun people. Wants as many friends as possible.
hey brother I dmed u kinda like to keep my brain thoughts to myself lol
For anyone who has posted, we're still looking. I'll be accepting applications until November 30.
Hello, my name is Nate or Nadpu. I really like the theme I'm getting from your game and your players! A little about me: I'm 26 years old from Georgia, USA. I really enjoy RPGs, MMORPGS and Fantasy in general. My first dive into fantasy and fantasy games was around age 7, when I played "Hero Quest" with my older brother and cousin. Ever since then I've been hooked on Fantasy. I started playing D&D for the first time 5 years ago. I like to have good times and good laughs. I'm really big on respect. I can pretty much get along with anyone and there's not really a specific type of person that I don't get along with. I love my dog, she annoys the hell out of me sometimes, but I still love her to death. I'm a big movie buff. Not the snobby, "No you're wrong, that movie sucks!" kind, more like "Oh yea I've seen that. It was pretty good." or "Nah, I haven't seen it. Is it any good?" kind. I'll watch anything at least once. I don't have a lot of pet peeves, but I do have two big ones. I don't like hearing people smacking/eating with their mouth open. I can't stand it, I don't need or want to hear what's going on inside your mouth lol. I don't like clowns. Is that a pet peeve? Not sure, but saying it now. I do not like clowns. My Experience: I know a good bit about D&D. I played 3E and 3.5E for around 2 years under a very rule heavy DM, who required his players to know the rules before playing. So I'm used to reading and knowing the rules before playing. Since my experience with 5E is limited to my roll20 experience I've had a decent amount to learn since there's been a lot of simplifications, changes and streamlining of the rules/game. I'm fairly comfortable with 5E now. Plus being able to look up things in a PDF is way easier than in a book. I have a little more than 230+ hours on Roll20 so far. What I'm looking for: I'm looking for a group that runs long campaigns, short campaigns and modules. I prefer a group that allows some homebrew and has some table rules of their own. Running between 3-5hour long sessions. Preferably all with the same players (4-6) because I feel that having the same people coming back week after week and campaign after campaign is really important and makes the game a lot of more fun. I'm not a Meta gamer when it comes to D&D. I want to enjoy a character and a story with some friends, I want some awesome RP between characters and NPCs and some epic combat every now and then. So character and story progression is very important to me. As much as I like seeing my own character progression, I enjoy seeing my fellow players experiencing theirs as well. What you can expect from me: As a player, I'll be 20-25 minutes early to every session. 24hr minimum notice if I can't make it to a session (excluding emergences). To be prepared with notes and my character sheet ready for each session. No arguing with DM rulings, events, rolls, character actions/choices. Respect for the other players at the table. Eagerness to RP and even do voices for characters. Time zone and Availability: I'm currently EDT (GMT -5). My availability is all day Saturday into early Sunday. Communication: I would like a group that does Voice and Video, I feel that brings a more authentic tabletop feel. I'm okay with Voice only though. I'm fine with using any VOIP program. Character Concept: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UMgcK0HLTYjjonxIMqOLU53zg4L0GzvH1-HN0UcJr8s/edit?usp=sharing Sorry for the link, seems it was too long for a forum post. If you feel I would make a good fit in your group or have any questions for me, please feel free to PM on roll20 or message me on Discord @ Nadpu#8499. Thank you for taking the time to read this! Happy rolling!

The player My name is Kate and I’m a Canadian living in Northern Ontario. I’m 27, and I’ve been playing various versions of D&D since High school. Both my parents played when I was a toddler, so I guess it runs in my blood. I’ve been playing 5e since late 2016, and I’ve played in several games that didn’t last too long, to my disappointment. My personality is usually really friendly, and I like to go with the flow a lot of the time. I used to be a teacher, so I tend to be really helpful when it comes to rule checks and other things. I can usually put up with a lot of different personality types, but I find it hard to play with know-it-alls, or complainers. I love playing with positive people because positivity is infectious! I love so many things in life that it’s really hard for me to choose only two. My current obsession is Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee, but I’ve been known to love a lot of different things like Harry Potter, Marvel comics (the actual comics), Star Wars, Star Trek, etc. I also really love to travel. I lived in China for four years and travelles a lot while working there. I’ve been to Australia, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong and obviously within China. I loved experiencing the different cultures and languages! In my life right now, I’m at Trade school to become an Electrician. It’s difficult, but so rewarding! Every thing I learn gives me a rush, and I love figuring out the next puzzle! Ohm’s law is tattood on my brain forever. My play style is usually very RP focused. I like to create interesting backstories and flaws for my characters to make them more interesting. Though the mechanics of my character help, they are not the most important. I am also not a power gamer at all, and have been known to make weak characters just for the sake of RP. Lately I’ve also been brave enough to experiment with accents for my characters! My Tortle Barbarian from my last game had a terrible Jamaican accent! :D I’m also pretty adept at drawing and tend to enjoy drawing the group’s characters if anyone would like that. I ALWAYS draw my own characters, and if i get accepted into this group, I will create a drawing of the character I intend to use. I will become obsessed with this game of you accept me. It’s what I do. I really hope I can become great friends with you and your players, and share my love for D&D and life in general :p Availability- in EST Monday-Tuesday - not available Wednesday - after 5pm Thursday - after 2pm Friday - after 9pm Saturday-Sunday - any time The character A Wood Elf Monk named Alluah (Ally) Flidhara. She had an affinity for grace and speed at a young age, and her tribe decided to send her away to study at various monestaries across the realm. At each monestary, she learned a different style of fighting until she became a master of the many martial arts forms they each specialized in. Through her travels, she was essentially raised by all different races and cultures of the world, and so she does not feel a sense of belonging anywhere in particular. This lead to Ally’s life as an adventurer - she did not feel as if she belonged to any one place, even the elves. Though she is an elf, she is so only in name and appearance. Speaking of appearance, Ally is very tall and willowy. She doesn’t have a huge amount of muscle on her body, but makes up for it in speed and accuracy. She has bright copper hair arranged with corn-row braids along the sides of her head and the rest fluffed and pulled back, falling down her back. Her eyes are a new-leaf green, and show a fierce determination to prove her worth. Her skin is a pale peach, and marred by a few scars here and there. (Clothing to be determined). Ally’s personality is a mishmash of different traits, once again drawn from her life abroad. She can be as stubborn as any Dwarf when she knows she is in the right. She can be as hot tenpered as any Dragonborn when those she cares about are threatened. She can be as friendly and good-natured as any Halfling, or as serious as any Elf. Most of the time, Ally is very accepting of people’s differences in life. Though she doesn’t condone acts which go against the common good, she is willing to listen before judging. When it comes to working with others, she typically follows rules of democracy, but is willing to stand her ground when absolutely necessary. I plan to play an Elemental monk to go along with the “many forms” motif. If you accept me, I’d like to discuss the possibility of a reworked version of the monastic tradition, as the phb elementalist is very underwhelming. If that’s not acceptable, I’m still willing to play the base tradition :) I would also like yo discuss finer details about each monestary so we can bring her backstory into your world a little more concretely. Who knows, maybe the party will come across one of them during their adventures! Final Comments Thanks for taking the time to read my application. I really do hope you choose me for this campaign because I would love to get to know you amazing people. Cheers! Kate

My Name is Legit: Hello there! ABOUT ME My background is seeped in Nerd life from D&D and other TTRPGS as a GM Player and writer. I LARP and currently and the one of the top seeded Kings of War table top Players in the US. I LOVE voice acting and RP heavy interactions. In College i Was a founder and PR/Growth VP for Dungeon Crawlers. Every week we brought literal 100s of players together to play ttrpgs under 1 roof. Part of my job there was to Teach how to DM courses, Improve classes, and PC personality building :D. As to my personality and such Im an easy going person. as long as our game time is spent mostly in game im having fun be it a 4 hour shopping RP or a 3 session boss crawl with weeks of build up. Your schedule fits my needs perfectly. As the GM who always guides the story but never writes it, i would love to be that 4th cardinal direction to you adventuring map. 2 Things I Love Playing games Playing with my Dog Pet Peeves Wasting time with no gain Most of Generation Z, just as a whole WHAT WOULD I PLAY? There are 3 Core Ideas i would Be ECSTATIC to bring to life. 1- Clekton, Smith of the Histro lineage A Dwarf Pally (with a MC into 1 point Barbarian) who left his home after his time at war changed his ways. As a moral stand point after taking so much life he now looks down at doing so. Better to subdue and detain. When Pushed over his absolute limit however he flashes back to his time before and reverts to a master of hammers bring a whirlwind of death to all in his path with no concern for health or party. Lawful Neutral 2- Sebastian the Half Elf Ranger from the Sea Sebastions on a journey for love, He seeks a handsome man who cna best his martial prowess. Tending to sneak in the back and provide Support from a far his friends count on his accuracy even in the times they cant see him. A sneaky Ragingly Flamboyant man on a mission for love, this Chaotic neutral Half elf is done with his life at sea and ready to settle down for good. 3- Steve the Human Rouge Raised an orphan with nothing Steve made his won path, What others had he took. at 14 he had founded a small gang of pickpockets and thieves taking them under his wing and giving them a place to call home. Over time Steve developed a passion for helping others to the point of putting himself in poverty to life others out. He takes from the rich to give to the poor. (A darker side sits deep on his soul. Killing the rich to send a message to the aristocracy is not out of the question, while he wont commit murder outright, if a noble fights back, that nobles family will find him in a gursem display of death. Technically Steve would best be played as Lawfull Evil, following the rules of the land and giving to the poor freely but he has 0 qualms with taking life especially if its a person whos status was given to them by birth. MANY THANKS!!!!!!!!!

My name is Brandon, but people also call me Flash (like The Flash, not Flash Gordon). I’ll be turning 25 in February, so hopefully that’s okay. I played D&D a bit in high school, and I was a DM in college and for about a year after graduating, but I strongly prefer being a player. However, I do have a healthy respect for how much time and effort goes into preparing a game now. I’ve been using 5e for about two years now, but I’ve never been a part of an online game before; I’m excited to try it out! I grew up in Michigan, and recently moved to Virginia for a job as an assistant video editor. Your plan for joining up full-time in January would work perfectly for me, and playing a couple one-shots sounds like fun as well! I am typically always available on weekends, and would never cancel if I can help it. I’d also like to mention that your DMing style sounds like exactly what I’d hope for in a DM. The style, voices, various genres, and inspiration wells all sound very exciting! To address your questions, I’m a friendly and upbeat person with a amicable attitude. I am laid-back about things that don’t matter, but I do care about things that are important. I typically get along great with everyone, so long as they aren’t an insufferable ass, which it sounds like shouldn’t be a problem with your group. One of the things I really love is superheroes; any character with superpowers, really. I’m especially a fan of the DC comics characters (hence the nickname), but I enjoy characters from a wide variety of sources, including Marvel (especially Spider-Man and Deadpool), One Piece, Doctor Who, My Hero Academia, and many others. Another of my big passions is gaming. I’m mostly a single-player gamer, because a good story is what I really love in a game, though gameplay is also a huge part, though I also love to play multiplayer games like Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. Some of my all-time favorite games include Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, Horizon: Zero Dawn, the Batman Arkham series, and Astro Bot Rescue Mission. As for pet peeves, my only major one would be constant, non-stop complaining. Sure, we all complain from time to time, and that’s fine, but if every other thing out of your mouth is aimless bitching, that drives me nuts. Being maliciously mean is another; not to be confused with friendly teasing and messing around, but when it’s specifically meant to hurt, that’s a no-go. A little about the character: I’m not 100% locked in to anything, because I’d like to make sure I’d mesh well with the world you’ve built and the rest of the party, and I’m guessing I’d probably start near level 6 like the others, but this is an idea I’ve been toying with for a while. A tiefling Life Cleric main/Sorcerer secondary named Uncertainty, or Cert for short. He is 25 years old, 5’9”, 180lbs, with dark red skin, short red hair, gold eyes, and horns that curve up and out to the side of his head (in a U-shape). Cert was left at a temple of one of the Good gods (dependent on what pantheon you’re using) as an infant. As a tiefling, some of the priests were unsure whether or not to accept him into the temple, while others were sure it was the right thing to do. In the end he was allowed to remain, though this initial struggle did give him his name. While he never knew his biological family, his adoptive family at the temple is very dear to him. The temple was often visited by adventurers, travelers, and merchants (again, DM permitting), so Cert grew up hearing exciting tales of far-off lands. Of course, being a tiefling, not all visitors were amicable toward him (perhaps even most?), but Cert remained undeterred, always at least attempting to talk to all visitors. On his tenth birthday Cert discovered, as most tieflings do, that he had an aptitude for magic. Combined with his belief in the teachings of the temple and his lust for the life of an adventurer, his decision to train in the ways of a Cleric came as a surprise to no one. He would often assist in defending the temple and the surrounding area from monsters and orcs, often accompanying groups of adventurers on nearby quests. However, it was only fairly recently that Cert finally set out from the temple to finally pursue the life of adventure he’s dreamed of. Cert typically fights using a mace, and he typically focuses on using healing magic, though he isn’t adverse to using his magic in other ways by any means. He believes in doing good and helping others, even if he may have to break some rules. He is very loyal to those who have proven they are trustworthy, and he never goes back on his word if he can help it. When people try to harass him simply for being a tiefling, Cert just ignores them unless they physically attack him, in which case he does not hesitate to defend himself. Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns! My Discord name is RoboWonder if you want to reach out there. I hope to hear from you soon!
