Part 1 - In which our heroes make some discoveries   Book Two, Chapter 3.1 (session 65, 6 th November 2018)   The Party: Naergon Harna, elven wizard (diviner); Mads Rangle, human fighter/warlock; Jamna Gleamsilver, gnome rogue (arcane trickster); Tomaz Stormwind, human ranger (hunter); Druscilla Oakenrock, dwarven cleric (trickster)     Druscilla examines the stone sarcophagus and the idol or statue of the winged creature. It appears that someone, Talis presumably, has erected a wooden A-frame to lift the lid from the sarcophagus but is has failed and split. She believes the items are of ancient Netherese origin like much of the rest of this complex [Religion 20] but there are no runes or hieroglyphs as far as she can tell. “ These are very ancient ” she says “I wonder if the dragon masks are also Netherese in origin? ” Mads looks at her, coughs and says “ err, no they’re not. The masks were created by Tiamat or she had them made, or they came into existence out of her desire, it’s unclear. She couldn’t make an escape key as such but she could make the masks which when combined would be an escape key – it’s all a bit confusing and I wasn’t at my best when Zariel was explaining. But they are relatively recent and are just a ruse to convince this Dragon Cult to perform the necessary rituals to release her.”   On the far side of the cavern Tomaz calls out they should leave the sarcophagus shut. Jamna starts to move forward but eying the grease turns to Naergon “can you get rid of this? ”. Far below Talis, in her sphere, rolls across to the northern wall and looks to drink a potion, although it’s hard to see precisely. The many images of Naergon look over at Jamna “ I’m afraid it will last a little while yet but it’s not so bad if you’re careful ” and with that they all walk carefully through the grease [DEX save 19] and onto the western platform and stare down into the chasm. Tomaz searches the body of Kusphia but finds nothing beyond high quality cult attire. Mads looks at the sarcophagus and then across the chamber at the astral figure floating in the steamy air but can discern no particular link in style or appearance between the two [History 16]. As far as he can tell the astral figure isn’t Netherese at all, in fact the more he studies it the more convinced he is that it may just be some kind of clerical spell effect.   Druscilla walks around the sarcophagus to stand with Mads and also stares across at the astral figure, prepared for it to do something. As they stand at the edge, the bead of force containing Talis winks out of existence and Talis is dumped into the lava by the northern wall. By the doorway Jamna follows the Naergons out onto the Western platform [DEX save 19] and watches as Talis claws her way out of the lava and starts climbing up the far wall, hand over hand. As Naergon watches, his multiple images flicker out of existence “ well will you look at that, persistent, isn’t she?” Tomaz moves forward to look and slips in the grease [DEX save 9] but manages to crawl to the edge of the platform and stand up next to Naergon. Jamna and Naergon suppress their laughter, just about. On the other platform, Mads turns back to the sarcophagus and tries to discern how difficult it would be to open it [Investigation 3] he concludes that it is probably magically sealed and that really it needs Naergon to be here to open it. “ I don’t see how this can open, no wonder they broke this A-frame ” he mutters.   Druscilla walks along the platform edge, keeping Talis in view “ what are you on about Mads? The A-frame was to lift the lid.” “What lid? ” says a bemused Mads “ it’s a solid lump of stone, we need Naergon over here if we’re to open this.” On the other platform Jamna prepares her bow and keeps a watchful eye on Talis as she climbs ever higher up the wall. Naergon, folds his arms and watches in silence. Tomaz stands, bow half drawn also watching Talis. Mads takes a seat on the sarcophagus and waits, prodding his belly and wondering if he has time to rebirth his familiar.   Slowly Talis crawls up the wall, as she comes into range Tomaz takes a shot through the mist, the arrowing slamming into her shoulder. A second shot flies wide and the arrow shatters off the wall before falling into the lava. Talis crawls further up the wall, pulls out a potion and drinks it and then shouts out in a thunderous voice “ WILL YOU PLEASE JUST STOP SHOOTING AT ME. THIS IS BLOODY HARD ENOUGH AS IT IS. WHY ARE YOU . .  WHY ARE YOU DOING . . . I THOUGHT WE HAD A DEAL. I GAVE YOU VARRUM AND I’VE HEARD A NASTY RUMOUR ABOUT NERONVEIN SO CONGRATULATIOSN THERE, YOU DID BETTER THAN I DID. BUT WHAT ARE DOING HERE, BOTHERING ME?”   Tomaz shouts back “ I don’t know who you are, but you’re a cultist and therefore my sworn enemy!” “WHAT, JUST A NAMELESS THUG AM I, WELL BOO HOO! SOMEONE MUST HAVE TOLD YOU TO COME HERE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? WHO ARE YOU? I KNOW SOME OF THE REST. . .”   “I THOUGHT WE HAD A DEAL. ALTHOUGH I’M GLAD TO SEE YOU GOT RID OF THAT ANNOYING HALFLING. YOU, WIZARD, YOU WERE ALWAYS THE BRAINS OF THE OUTFIT, WHAT’S GOING ON?” Naergon replies “ we’re hunting cultists. And thought there might be something of value in here”.   “YES, WELL, THAT’S ROUGHLY WHAT I WAS DOING AS WELL. NOW WOULD YOU MIND NOT SHOOTING ARROWS AT ME WHILST I CLIMB UP AND THEN WE CAN HAVE A NICE LITTLE CHAT ABOUT REZMIR” “I’m not shooting at you ” huffs Naergon. “ YES, BUT YOUR HIRELINGS ARE, COULD YOU TELL THEM TO STOP PLEASE?” “He’s not my hireling, he’s an associate sent to record events for my superiors”.   “YOUR SCRIBE, JOURNALIST WHATEVERE. JUST TELL HIM TO STOP SHOOTING AT ME. WE HAD A DEAL DAMMIT! ANYWAY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? DON’T YOU KNOW THAT THAT BITCH REZMIR IS JUST ALONG THE ESCARPMENT IN A RUINDED MONASTERY. I’D HAVE THOUGHT YOU’D BE DEALING WITH HER” “Yes, we found her but it got a bit tricky”   “REALLY, GLAD TO HEAR YOU FOUND HER. I ASSUME SHE’S DEAD THEN? “Well, she managed to escape again after killing a couple of our friends” “ESCAPED, AGAIN. YOU’RE NOT VERY GOOD AT THIS ARE YOU?” “Well you don’t seem to have held your end of the deal either. You were supposed to have killed Rezmir yourself weren’t you?”   “WELL AFTER I CRASHED SKYREACH BECAUSE THOSE BLOODY RED WIZARDS GOT INVOLVED, THE WHOLE DEAL WENT SOUR. DO I HAVE YOU TO THANK FOR LETTING THAT RED WIZARD GO BY THE WAY? GOOD NEWS THAT WAS, I WAS QUITE HAPPY TO FIGHT REZMIR ON HER OWN BUT I WASN’T PREPARED TO HANDLE BLOODY RED WIZARDS AS WELL” “Err, Azbara you mean. Yes, he left with Rezmir. Not to worry though he’s dead now, saw to that personally. Now do you know where Rezmir has gone?”   “WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHERE’S SHE GONE. SHE’S DOWN THERE AT THE END OF THE ESCARPMENT IN THAT RUINED MONSATERY” “Yes, yes, we’ve been there but she got away” “WHAT, YOU’VE LET HER ESCAPE AGAIN? HELLS, I’M GLAD YOU DON’T WORK FOR ME!” “Yes well, there were complications” huffs Naergon again.   Mads shouts down “ what’s in the sarcophagus?” “I DON’T KNOW BUT IT’S WELL GUARDED SO THOUGHT IT WAS WORTH A LOOK”. “Me too, can you help us get inside it?” “WHAT, YES, YES, SURE WE CAN LOOK AT THE SARCOPHAGUS, JUST LET ME CLIMB THIS WALL WITHOUT SHOOTING AT ME AND THEN WE CAN HAVE A SENSIBLE DISCUSSION” “Oh and do you know what the big shimmery thing is?” asks Naergon, peering over the edge at the distant figure on the wall. “ WHAT SHIMMEERY THING?” “The big sword wielding astral figure over there” shouts Mads, “ how do we deal with that?” “WHAT THE GUARDIAN? CALL YOURSELF A WIZARD, CAN’T EVEN RECOGNISE A SPELL. IT’S MY GUARDIAN . . . LOOK JUST DON’T WALK NEAR IT AND YOU’LL BE FINE. TRUST ME”. “How long will it remain here?” asks Naergon “ HUH? ERR, IT’LL BE HERE FOR SEVERAL MORE HOURS YET, JUST DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT.” “can’t you tell it to stop or something?” “WHAT, HOW DOES WIZARDRY WORK? CAN YOU JUST DO THAT. NO, I CAN’T TELL IT TO GO AWAY, IT’S HERE NOW, JUST IGNORE IT”. “Well can’t you dispel it?” “REALLY NOW YOU WANT ME TO CAST DISPEL MAGIC WHILST CLINGING TO A WALL, SURE YOU DON’T WANT TO KEEP SHOOTING AT ME AT THE SAME TIME? WHY DON’T YOU CAST DISPEL MAGIC? USE YOUR OWN BLOODY RESOURCES WHY DON’T YOU”. “I don’t have that spell memorised” “GODS, WELL JUST DON’T STEP NEAR IT THEN. YOU’LL BE FINE”.   “OK then, can you climb up and hand your weapons over to Mads, then we can talk” “SURE HONEY, I CAN DO THAT. NOW JUST STOP YOUR SCRIBE SHOOTING ME IN THE BACK PLEASE. AND WHILST I’M DOING THAT YOU CAN EXPLAIN TO ME JUST HOW EXACTLY YOU MANAGED TO LET REZMIR ESCAPE AGAIN. HOW MANY TIMES IS THAT NOW?”   Whist Talis continues her climb, the heroes have a discussion via Rary’s Telepathic Bond - Tomaz questions Naergon on what this deal that Talis refers to was. Naergon blames it all on Mads. Mads makes it clear to everyone that he did shout out that they were here to rescue Talis when they first opened the door. Tomaz responds that she set her minions on him and therefore she should die. Naergon replies that they made a deal and it worked out well, Tomaz gets very huffy with him. Druscilla says she’s happy to talk to Talis   After some time Talis climbs up and leaps across on to one of the floating steps and then hops over to the eastern platform to stand in front of Mads who tells her “ better dial down the sass girl, you’re our prisoner now and somewhat outnumbered”. Talis smiles back at him and in a more normal voice says “ that’s fine dear, I’m not a cultist, never have been really. Don’t you remember the deal we made? Now are you gonna search me then?”
Part 2 - Mads takes a spear, shield, religious symbol, and a pair of potions from Talis. “ what do you mean, you’re not a cultist? You’re here, with cultists, looks like you’re still working for them to me”   “Listen, love I gave you Varram, I gave you the white dragon mask, I gather that you killed Neronvein so presume you have the green dragon mask. That’s great. I’m all for it. I don’t want to see Tiamat here any more than you do. I’ve had it with the cult, bloody stupid they are.” Says Talis. Mads interrupts “ so what are you doing here then?”   “I crashed Skyreach and found this place” explains Talis. “ so why are you trying to get into that sarcophagus then? ” demands Mads, “ what’s in it, why does the cult want it?”.   “I don’t know what’s in the sarcophagus but if it’s this well defended, I figured it must be something cool and I thought I’d have it. Now I’m guessing I’m not going to be getting it anymore but you know, that’s life”   Mads studies her hard, trying to determine if she’s telling the truth about not being part of the cult anymore [insight 11] overall, he decides that she’s probably more about herself than she is about the cult. Mads shares this information telepathically with the group, including what he knows about the origins of the cult, the way it has changed over the years and the fact that Tiamat has used it as part of her scheme to get released. He does not explain how he knows what he knows. Tomaz is suspicious [insight 9] but can’t discern whether Mads is telling the truth or not – it certainly sounds plausible. He does note that no-one else seems to question what Mads says, either they’re all in it together or they just believe Mads is telling the truth.   “So” says Talis “ what do we do now? I’d still like to know why you let Rezmir go again” “We tried” says Mads “ but it was very hard”. “Really, I had such high hopes for you all”. “Hey, we killed her friend, it’s not like we didn’t try” “Her friend? What that red wizard bastard? Jolly good, good for you”.   “Besides” continues Mads, “ it’s not like you succeeded either.” “Ah, yes well I was set up to take on Rezmir not her red wizard pet as well, not to mention that Rath Modar, his master, was on board as well. In fact, had it not been for Sandresyl’s aid in sabotaging Skyreach, things might well have been a whole lot worse”.   Mads asks Naergon telepathically if he knows who Sandresyl is, Naergon doesn’t but asks Tomaz who shrugs and shakes his head. “ Who’s Sandresyl?” asks Mads turning back to Talis. “ Sandresyl? Well she. She? Yes I think she still counts. She’s a very old cult member, very old school. Not really interested in this Tiamat business much more interested in lichdom”. “Where is she now?” interrupts Druscilla. “Ah, err, not really sure. She was already on Skyreach but she agreed to help sabotage it because she’s opposed to Severin, Rezmir, Rath Modar and his red wizards and the whole Bring Tiamat back thing. As I said she’s old school and that’s not what the cult’s about as far as she’s concerned.”   “So, is she your ally then?” demands Mads. “ Ah, err, well our interests may have briefly aligned. I wouldn’t say I have the same goal as Sandresyl. I mean I am alive after all!” “Yeah, so why did you come here, why the sarcophagus?” continues Mads. “ Well, I didn’t really have anywhere else to go dear. I found this place, found this sarcophagus, thought it might contain something valuable and interesting, so I thought I’d take a look inside.”   “So, do you think there’s something powerful here or just wealth?” asks Mads “ Really is there a difference? Power – Money, Money – Power. They go together don’t they? If you have enough of one, you’ll certainly have the other.” “I have money but little power, so I’m not sure I agree” says a puzzled Mads. “ What, you’ve had money to buy land, money to hire hirelings, money to buy votes, money to buy a contract with the devil but you have no power? What exactly do you do with all this wealth then? Just because you haven’t . . . well I don’t know . . . Do you want a financial advisor?”   Mads is thrown, particularly by the reference to a devil contract, he attempts to gain some insight to see if that was just a throw away comment or something more sinister [insight 8] but really, he’s just confused and flustered by Talis. He telepathically asks Naergon to come and join them at the sarcophagus but Naergon refuses. Turning to Druscilla and Talis he says “ I think we should try and get this sarcophagus open but I don’t know how. Do you have any suggestions?”   Talis replies “ Yes, well, we have been trying but those few cultists I managed to persuade to come with me, well they weren’t very good engineers apparently and we found some timber . . . do you realise how hard it is to find good timber in a desert?” “Wait a minute” says Mads “ I thought you weren’t cultists, so who was that well dressed dude?” “Sorry who, what?” stutters Talis, “ oh you mean Kusphia, well yes I guess he was a cultist. I mean I had to pretend to them a bit that I was still in the cult otherwise I wouldn’t have had any help. Anyway, Kusphia wasn’t a bad sort, bit deluded and vain but I don’t think we need to worry about him anymore, do we?”   Naergon shouts something about the sarcophagus from the far side of the chasm, “ what was that darling ” returns Talis “ it would be much easier if you came over here so we could talk” “No, not doing that ” shouts Naergon “ were you trying to get the lid off?” “Yes, dear, that’s exactly what we were trying to do when this rubbish dry wood split and cracked and those worthless cultists couldn’t fix their crane thing.”   “What do you think is in their ” shouts Naergon? Talis turns around in a circle, arms wide “ look around you petal, where are we, we’re in a sodding great Netherese tomb, surrounded by Netherese sculpture. You know the Netherese, famous for powerful magic and artefacts. What do you think might be in an ancient Netherese tomb like this, hidden away and protected so well? I don’t know but I’m dam sure it’s worth a look, don’t you? I’m just working the odds here and to be frank I didn’t have anything else to do! Whilst I was waiting for you lot to confirm having killed Rezmir. Which by the way you’ve failed to do twice now, or is it three times?” Mads mutters “ but you failed to kill her last, no, yes, err”.   Naergon telepathically says he thinks he can open the sarcophagus, Mads says they should try and do it manually first and turns to Druscilla and Talis “ would you ladies care to lend a hand and see if we can get this lid off?” Talis looks at him “ We have tried this you know but very well, come along. Mind it’s very, very heavy darling, sure you’re up for it?”.   Mads looks at her “ we’ve established you don’t know what treasure is in there but do you think there’s going to be anything dangerous?” “Ha, do you mean do I think there’s a chance there’s some kind of undead Netherese lich or something residing in there? Well I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t think there was a significant chance there might be some wraith or something inside and you know me, I don’t lie often” she smiles and winks “ but don’t worry if there’s a nasty spirit inside, I’ll keep you safe honey. Although it would be easier if you gave me back my holy symbol”. “Hrrmph, not happening” mutters Mads and turns to the sarcophagus.   Mads, Talis and Druscilla strain with all their might to lift the lid but it doesn’t budge an inch. “ Yep, see that’s why we made an A-frame ” says Tails “ what we could really do with is some magical assistance, a big burly wizard that’d be the thing! Or failing that something to repair this crap with ” she kicks the split timber “ so any of you lot got any engineering skills or magical gizmos? You usually come packing loads of gear, what you got ?”   “Hang on” says Mads “ I think Naergon has this ”. Telepathically he tells Naergon that he’s fed up of looking silly and ineffective in front of Talis and can he please just do something cool now! Druscilla circles the sarcophagus tracing the line of the lid with her fingers. In her heart she knows she is stalling and the real way of getting this done is to repair the A-frame. Talis stands, arms folded, foot tapping, watching.   Naergon advances on to the floating stones, skirting past the Guardian of Faith until he is in range to cast levitate and pops the lid off the sarcophagus, with a grinding noise and a shower of dust, raising it some 15 feet into the air. A small amount of black smoke oozes out, Mads peers inside and sees a desiccated, mummified corpse, covered in dust and clearly extremely old. The face is covered in a gold and jade death mask and clutched in its hands is a highly decorated bronze rod or sceptre. “ Ooh that looks interesting ” says Talis and turning to Mads, she places her hand over his and whispers “ you can have the mask, I’ll have the rod ”. Mads pulls his hand away “ you don’t get either ”. Talis smiles back at him “ if that’s what you want my dear.”   Druscilla looks up sharply and communicates back to Naergon telepathically that she thinks Talis knows what the rod does. Then simultaneously Mads grabs for the mask and Druscilla grabs the rod, ripping it out of the dead hands, fingers snapping. Talis watches them with a disdainful smile and shrugs. Mads pulls the mask to him, bits of shroud and dust falling away, Druscilla lifts the rod, shaking the broken fingers off onto the floor. Talis stands, arms folded “ have you no respect for the dead then my dears? I had thought better of you Maddsy, mind I don’t really know who you are do I?” the last directed at Druscilla. Naergon drops the lid back in place with a resounding and final thud.   Druscilla and Mads examine what they have, ignoring Talis “ we should take these back to Naergon, so he can identify them” says Mads. “ Agreed” says Druscilla, turning to Talis “ you first ”. Talis bows mockingly and turns to walk across to the far side of the chasm. Druscilla and Mads follow. Once reunited Naergon asks Talis “ how would you feel about joining us, hunting down and killing Rezmir and generally bringing down the cult and preventing the return of Tiamat?”   Talis replies “why don’t we head back to your camp and discuss it over a meal and something to drink?” “Absolutely, yes we should do that I think” replies Naergon. “ Excellent” says Talis, “ come on then. Maddsy, be a dear and bring my stuff with you”. “I’m not your servant ” cries Mads. “ Well I’d take it myself darling but the big scary wizard says I’m not allowed it” “Too right” says Mads. “ Actually” interjects Naergon “ I don’t see why she can’t have her gear back now”. Tomaz cries “ NO, she is the enemy, she cannot be armed!” “It’s not often I agree with Tomaz ” says Mads “ but this is one of those times Naergon. I don’t think we can take the risk. Look I’ll put all her gear in my bag of holding, it’ll be quite safe until we’ve discussed things further”.   The party and Talis head back to camp where a general discussion is had, Talis reaffirms that she has nothing to do with the cult, her interests are not aligned with Severin, she continues to express puzzlement as to why the party is chasing after her when they could be pursuing Rezmir. She congratulates the party on defeating Neronvain after she gave them Varram and admits they did better than she did with Rezmir as she was forced into sabotaging Skyreach with Sandresyl’s help when the red wizards intervened and nearly killed her. She confirms that Rezmir was holed up with the remnants of her cultists at a monastery to the west and that as far as she knows Rezmir is awaiting rescue, probably by Galvan the Blue. She says the party has squandered a great opportunity in failing to kill Rezmir there but that if they act quickly and aggressively, they still might be able to grab the black mask and Rezmir before she is rescued. Talis continues to express puzzlement over why the party is meddling in her affairs instead of pursuing the cult and again affirms that in her opinion bringing Tiamat back is a bad idea. “ Besides” she says “ if the cult hierarchy aren’t prepared to offer me a position of power now. Things aren’t likely to get better under Tiamat’s reign.”   There is much discussion between the party members, Naergon is all for offering Talis a place in the party, Mads is inclined to agree. Tomaz is convinced that an enemy is an enemy despite having no personal history with Talis. Both Druscilla and Jamna take a pragmatic ‘enemy of my enemy’ approach. In the end despite Tomaz’s objections Naergon offers Talis a place within the party on the basis that their immediate goals align – hunt down and kill Rezmir. Talis agrees, no promises are made beyond that. Tomaz makes a private report via sending raising his concerns over this arrangement whilst Naergon, Druscilla and Jamna similarly report back to their contacts in Waterdeep with slightly more positive spin. Naergon also requests an update on known mask locations. Talis watches all this with puzzled amusement.   Before settling in to rest Naergon casts a ritual to determine what may be magical. He identifies that Talis’s spear and potions and the rod are magical, he also notes that Talis’ armour is magical as is a small icicle looking wand tucked into the back of her armour that was overlooked by Mads. The mask does not radiate magic. Naergon then casts identify on the rod, determining it as a powerful item of legend – a Rod of Lordly Might. Whilst he conducts this ritual Mads hands back the spear and potions to Talis who smiles “thank you darling, most kind”.   Naergon holds up the rod and says “ this is a significant artefact, a Rod of Lordly Might, we need to consider who can make best use of this. I suggest Druscilla. What do the rets of you think?” Immediately Talis says “ well as I’m now a full member of the party I assure you that I can make excellent use of this”. “It’s not for you” snaps Mads. “ Ooh that’s harsh dear. Very judgemental” Talis grins and settles back. After some discussion it is decided that Naergon is probably right and Druscilla is best placed to use the item, Tomaz is reluctant but finally accepts the decision, Jamna declares she has no interest and Naergon is insistent that he can’t make best use of its powers.   That decided Naergon turns to Talis and says “ I see you did not disclose that you had a wand concealed, why did you not hand that over when asked?” “I wasn’t asked to disclose anything Naergon, Maddsy just ran his manly hands over me and took stuff” she smiles coyly and winks at Mads. “ Yes, well what does the wand do?” asks Naergon waspishly. “It makes thing cold Naergon, very cold” she replies. “ Of course it does, well I guess you can keep it ” mutters Naergon. “Very kind of you dear, most trusting it bodes well” purrs Talis.   A brief general discussion ensues at which it is decided that in the morning they should head back to the monastery and see if they can pick up Rezmir’s trail. If they can then they should concentrate on pursuing and capturing her before she can make it back to the cult or this Galvan the Blue turns up. That decided the party settle down to a long rest.   In the early hours of the 24 th Tarsakh they head back to the monastery, Tomaz takes the lead and scouts the area thoroughly eventually finding Rezmir’s trail. Following this south and west for several hours he eventually leads the party to the top of a low rise, a rise that forms part of the lip to a large circular shallow depression in the desert floor. Peering over this rim, the party see a large and ancient looking well. Of more direct concern is the immense blue dragon curled up adjacent to the well and the several dozen cultists standing guard around a large tent erected in the very centre of the depression. Concealing himself at the top of the rim Tomaz says “well we’ve found something. Probably that Galvan the Blue if the dragon’s a hint!” Naergon agrees “ any sign of Rezmir?” he asks “ Nope, but I have no idea who’s in that tent” Tomaz replies. “ You’re right we need to see who’s there, give me a few minutes”.   With that Naergon slides down to the bottom of the rise and quickly casts a scrying ritual to view the interior of the tent. Inside the opulently and lavishly appointed tent, rugs and furs abound as do low tables laden with food and drink. Standing in the centre is a tall human in the long purple robes of a senior member of the cult – a Wyrmspeaker confirms Talis, almost certainly Galvan the Blue. Also present is a heavily armoured half-blue dragon, who is mostly standing to one side silent as Rezmir, the half-black dragon, remonstrates with Galvan. Clearly there is some forceful discussion ongoing.   The party have the briefest of discussions about what to do next. “ Perhaps we can teleport inside and do enough, quickly enough?” suggests Druscilla. “ A good plan but I fear there’s a lot of power in that tent and I’m concerned about that dragon ” replies Naergon. Talis says “ I think this is your last chance boys, surely you’re not going to let her get away, again are you?” Mads adds “ there’s two masks in there, we have to do something”. “Agreed ” says Naergon “ but what”     Next time, will Rezmir slip through their fingers again?   No levels were gained this session:   Naergon 13 th level Mads 12 th level Jamna 12 th level Tomaz 12 th level Druscilla 12 th level     XP earnt is now irrelevant as the rest of TOD is based on milestone XP   In-Game the session ended at 10:00 on 24 th Tarsakh 1485 DR   (The last Long Rest was completed at 06:00 by DO, JG, TS, NH, MR and Talis. No short rest has been taken since)   Next session Tuesday 20 th November at 07:15
