Music from Roll20 not playing

I was looking for music for my campaign on roll20 when I decided to stop my music. I tried to play another one few minutes later and it wasn't working. It also gave me an error message when I clicked on the Soundcloud icon (different each time, here's one of them : 6a7be9239e604de8acb70cae3b593517 ). I tried to empty my cache and disable my extensions but it is still not working. I called two friends of mine and they couldn't hear music either. Is this only in my campaign or is there anyone else having the same issue ?
I can't hear any of my music recorded either. Not just you, mon. About to play 5e out as the DM, so tried to get music on and couldn't play anything. For clarification, I can hear quite well over Discord/Communications, youtube, internet voices and such that isn't from Roll20.
Same problem, it seems to be Fanburst only, I can play everything else :/
I have the same problem ^^ And i can't search a new music in the last category "fanburst"
Same issue here. Music doesn't play and Fanburst shows a 503. Crashed my session. :/
Same thing for my games. It was working this morning from 9 AM to 12 PM EST, but as of 2:15, it isn't working.

I'll send this up to the dev team, but my first guess would be that Fanburst (which seems to have become a ghost site) is the likely culprit. It has become more and more unreliable, like it's predecessor, and is the main reason Roll20 is currently exploring hosting music locally.
Hi everyone, as it stands, Fanburst is down. As of this moment, the site is not working and their team is not serving requests. We will try to provide more information as it becomes available to us.

Man that really sucks. I have like 300+ songs/sound effects from fanburst set up in my game. EDIT: Counted, 446 songs. :(
please don't shut down , please don't shut down , please don't shut down ,please don't shut down ,
All that music... lost again.. I feel kinda sickened.

It figures...most likely a DMCA "cease and desist" followed by the stomp of the R.I.A. jackboots as they raze the site to the ground. :-|P It WOULDN'T be a problem if we could just use our own music library with an inbuilt streaming service hosted from our own rigs...but NOPE.
I'm all in for Roll20 finally hosting music locally, thing is like unlike Fanburst or SoundCloud, we're probably gonna have a cap on the music you can upload at least for free users with unlimited storage for premium users.

Or simply allow to stream music from our own locations, like an own server.
Being able to stream from our own locations would be the simplest solution, and finally keep this kind of mess from happening again.
Youtube or soundcloud maybe?
They tried soundcloud before, and it failed suddenly so they moved to Fanburst, and I suspect Youtube would just be an endless copyright infringement battle with how often GMs upload a potentially copyrighted soundtrack for their games.
They really need to just move to letting GM's stream from their own HD's. The system can already do voice chat so it's not like it's impossible. Or even just like.. make a system that allows it without that streaming having to go through roll20 at all and so it doesnt use up their bandwidth? i dunno
This needs to be resolved finally we can't linger months on end without a solution and instead focus on side stuff.

Tony A. said in ETA for Fanburst ?: And if they go down, what will be used for music/sounds?
This is a bummer. Please do take into consideration what has been said in the pro forums when dealing with this issue. A few easy band-aid fixes are as below: - P2P music streaming (possible) - Dropbox streaming (pretty much what everybody does, I can provide you code) - Native mic cable to pick up system sound Off the top of my head. Please don't try to reinvent the wheel when there are free and reliable methods out there.
Or you can do what everyone else who's tried to use Roll20's video and voice system does: Switch to Discord. It's simple and easy to play music through Discord. Your own, someone else's, from YouTube, from anywhere. Plus you get a voice communication system that, ya know, actually works.
The problem Phnord is you can't use API's/scripting for sound effects etc for R20 playing music over Discord, so this would be kind of a sub optimal solution for some of us GM's unfortunately.
@ R20 Devs, have you tried to contact Fanbursts parent company? Doublenote LLC? (email: accounts@doublenote.com ) (phone: 201-961-2183) to find out from them what the situation with Fanburst is?
Such a dissapointing news. I've spent months creating the perfect playlist of music, ambience and sfx for every key moment in my campaing. This is heartbraking. The silence is so loud.
As was pointed out over on the R20 twitter, it could just be a server issue and no one is in the office given the holiday weekend, so there's a (slim) chance They'll have things sorted come Monday?

Yep, I don't care at all for music. But I got a big chunk of sfx - every attack or spell in my games make a sound when used. This is pain. :/
I'm slowly doing the same for my games Raven, it adds an amazing layer of depth to the sessions, mostly for music it's ambient tracks for atmospherics (blizzards, ocean waves, space station reactors etc) then actual "music." The only real songs I use are them songs when beginning and ending sessions to help set the mood.

Confirmed! Thanks for your patience, everyone.
At the risk of sounding stupid, how do you do this? Do you manually play the SFX or is it linked to somehting on the character sheet? Problem's not solved anymore*. Site just went down again, but I'll keep you posted if it comes back up. Only some of my music is playing right now, and it's songs I've already played earlier in the night. Edit: tense
Dammit, Fanburst is only showing 503 again and no music either.

Maybe it's time to look into another option r20, because Fanburst is down pretty often from what I have experienced. Pretty unreliable and if you have prepped a whole campaign and have sound cues that are an integral part of the experience you're sat putting the session off because these people can't run a site.

Rats I jinxed it. Also, Louise, roll20 is thinking about allowing users to upload music. They discussed it here .

Thanks for the heads up that Fanburst is intermittent, all. We're keeping an eye on it. And as Tony pointed out, we are working on alternative solutions to Fanburst.

Fanburst did some work it seems. Everything's alright again, as for now.
Fanburst is down for me
Once again, Fanburst is not working. Any ETA on when it might be back up again?
Yeah, mine is down, too. And it's a Star Wars game: you GOTTA have the music, ha! :)
Its been on and off all through the evening. Annoying to say the least.
-sigh- Do they have raccoons [censord]ing in the server towers at Fanburst? or is it the RIA throwing tantrums and doing DDOS attacks?
