[LFP] [5e] [EST] homebrew game next saturday 12/1 @ noon.

I'm currently looking for two more players to join in a game that's planned to take place every Saturday. Generally we use 27 point buy with 15 being the highest you can start with pre-racial bonuses. Characters are level 5. You can use anything from the books, unearthed arcana is fine as long as it's cleared with me first. Just a heads up the game takes place in a homebrew world and part of the game is figuring out who you were so backstories aren't a thing for story line reasons as you will all be starting with no memories. We are using 5th edition and discord for voices. As for me, I've been playing dnd since 2nd edition, dming since third edition. I expect players to be civil to each other, we are all here to have a good time lets not fight over dnd. I also expect players to be punctual, I put in 10-15 hours of planning for each session, all I want in return is for you to show up and enjoy the game. I'm pretty fond of map making so I don't do much theater of the mind but I do enjoy describing things.
How long would your game sessions typically last?

I aim for 6 hours, I find that to be about the longest people can usually do before they want to call it. If it runs longer that's fine, if it runs under I'm not too worried as long as we get at least five hours in I don't usually sweat it.
Unfortunately that would likely end up being too late for me, though I wish you luck with your search. :)
Thanks, personally I just don't feel like four hours or less is enough time to really get into a game.

Hey mate, I'm definitely interested in giving your game a shot. Been playing for about a year and a half. The concept of losing ones memory is kind of an interesting touch and I have a few ideas of characters that could benefit from this scenario. One of which is a Gnome who wakes up thinking he's an Orc Barbarian. I like to think that this memory wipe gave him brain damage but if this is not okay I can always go with another character. If you're interested in having me join you shoot me a message. Cheers.
is it twelve at night if so i would like to join
Noon is 12pm (middle of day)
So since this would be a Saturday afternoon game EST what setting it is based on Sci-fi, Fantasy, High Fantasy, Horror or possibly a combination of them?  You sound pretty passionate about getting involved in a story that could behave the way you want with the aspirations of great potential within. However, the reality is that the story requires the players to make it their own. My question to you is: How would you go about making the world that you have developed over the past while something you think would be achievable by those that join you in the game world you have created?. I have played D&D for nearly 20 yrs an most of that as a DM for many groups over that time frame but mostly in person. I have branched out to the general populace here on Roll20 have had a lot of hits and misses with players. I play with people from any race color or creed within any age group from 18 to 60 so far since I try to keep the group's foul language to a PG -13 level if and when am able. If that fits your groups then by all means contact me an add me on Discord Kaladorian#1715 I am looking to play as a Player if that is possible.
A. It's high fantasy and Horror for the most part. B. In my opinion my job as the DM is to create the world, create a story that the PC's take part in but add in enough choices that the PC's feel like they have a say. For example I hate the alignment system for PC's, I'd rather give you a bunch of options and see what kind of characters I have than give you all labels that might not tell the whole story. That being said I'm not a fan of "open world" style games because I feel like they are very difficult to pull off properly and they often end up lacking direction. I usually go with the choose your adventure style of game where I have a general story in mind with branches for the PC's to take at major plot points.
Hi there, I'm a returning player of sort, played plenty of AD&D 2E back in the day but then I went into a hiatus, life and all. I got some campaigns going at the moment but I could certainly fit yours in my schedule. Homebrew content is always a roll of the dice(Ah!) but I wouldn't mind seeing what you came up with. I'd like a session 0 of sort before creating a character though, if that's all right that is. Long story short, I'm interested in what story you have to tell. Let me know if you still have some slots and we can get in touch with discord. My regards
