[LFP] - Defiance : When Adventure Calls

Are you bored of the same old RPG.  Tired of HP totals, wounds without consequence, classes with no class, races without substance, battles that last a decade?  Then come join us at Defiance. Defiance is the result of more than 20 years and at least as many systems.  We have taken all of the best parts of your Fantasy RPG systems and combined them for gameplay that helps you roleplay and the ability to be who you want to be. Our game will be played Weekly and will require the use of a microphone. I am looking for 3-4 able bodied adventurers interested in learning this simple, but robust system. The starting adventure should take about 3-5 weeks, after which we'll most likely move on to a full campaign, shaped by the events of the starter adventure.
Hey there - I'd be broadly interested. I'd like ot know the time & timezone, and a few more system details however.
Hi  It does sound interesting to me as well, however same as @Wymsy , I would like to know what days and times will this game be played ? ( Including timezone ) .
Hey there,  I'll be happy to share some system details.  As far as time, I am in PST and am a work from home programmer for a large TV display and projector company.  My schedule is pretty open, but I prefer evenings. We already have one player that is in EST and they'd like to cut out around 10:30 EST. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
I like to cut out at 10:30 on weekdays the weekend its can be run later for me.
also the system is awesome i have test run it some and the freedom is great you can play almost anything you want which i love but still be equal to the party no matter what
Hello there! This definitely sounds like something right up my alley. Do you have a way that I could take a look at the system/mechanics ahead of time? I really like the sound of it, and the timing works out perfectly for me. Also, you said this game will "require the use of a microphone" but is the microphone for voice chat or OOC discussions while playing in text? I'm alright either way, just curious!
Vindex, the microphone will be for playing the game in voice chat.  I usually implement voices and real time mechanics.  I'll be happy to share the game mechanics and the Wiki for players that end of joining. What sort of character do you like to play?  As a sample, here are our available Races right now Human, Elf, Dwarf, Shortfolk, Dragonkind, Godkin, Fey, Celestial, Fiend, Stonechild And the available classes that are printed up Knight, Wizard, Priest, Rogue, Barbarian, Sorcerer
Excellent, in regards to the voice chat. I'm a little dismayed that we have to agree to join before knowing the mechanics we'd be playing with first. It makes it fairly difficult to have sufficient information with which to make the decision. As far as characters... I suppose it depends on your setting specific differences from the generic. Are Shortfolk hobbits or Borrowers? What are Stonechildren? Giants, or rock golems, or pixies that hide in stone circles. Though that last one might overlap with Fey depending on what Fey are! As for class, I like to play Priest, or else Knight. It really depends on the character, which I tend to make to fit the setting itself.
Vindex, I understand that the secrecy can be halting.  The mechanics are not complicated and I'm happy to share the Wiki page.  Some things are currently being updated to v2.  Please send me a PM and I'll get you a link to check it out. Shortfolk = Halflings or Hobbits Stonechildren = Earthen creatures born from precious metals given life.  They are generally without emotion and have crystals that grant them special abilities.  They feast on precious metals and are very resilient, but have no "soul" to speak of.
Sounds interesting, but I'm afraid the timing doesn't work for me. Now, if it'd be 10.30 PST... Best of luck recruiting.
Hey, players - I'm looking to get some definite answers on this post.  I think Wymsy is out and Omniel is in.  What about the rest of you? I'd like to be playing as soon as we can, so let me know what you're thinking.
Hey, sorry, I'm going to have to decline. Thank you for your time and best of luck finding players!
