Noob question: Adding experience points

December 21 (6 years ago)

I must be bad at Google or something because I couldn't find an answer about this very basic problem.

We're using the DnD 5th Edition Character Sheets.

I noticed that no matter the amount of experience I add in the "Experience Point" field, the player's level doesn't seem to change.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Also, is there any way to reset a character sheet to its Default values?

Unfortunately, level calculation is manually update, not calculated using experience. Nor is there a way to reset a character sheet. However, if you are the GM, you can create a new character sheet which will have those default values. Then you would simply delete the existing character.

Okay thanks!

I was afraid to change the level manually since this field has to be edited manually via the cogwheel icon.

If that's the way to do it, the nno problem!

Since we're all noobs, we're using the "Lost Mine of Phandelver" map on Roll20.

I'm afraid that my players have already modified their Character Sheets, if anything goes wrong I'd like to have a backup.

I could always start a new game with the default settings but is there a way to export/import character sheets then?

Found how to do what I wanted about the default Character Sheets.

Here's how if any other noob ever finds this thread:

Go in your character vault (roll20 / Tools / Characters Vault): https://app.roll20.net/vault/characters

Import Existing Character (I simply created a new game from the "The Lost Mine of Phandelver" Module).

From the Vault, select the game where you want to add the character sheet and simply "Export to game".

A real joke really, should simply have google it first lol
