What might the rules be for free content that's released for another service?

I'm wondering about the rules regarding creating, for example, a module based on free content that was released for another service. I'm referring specifically to the free Isle of Kandril content that was released for Realm Works. I was honestly hoping to request it be made available as a free module, but not sure on whether that would even be allowed, or what rules would be involved in such a situation.

If you want in depth explanation, email your question to the Devs at team@Roll20.net. Just my view on it, not a lawyer or even knowledgeable of the laws, it might be free but there is probably content licences that allow for personal use. Being offered here, even free, would more than likely fall under commercial use.

^^ If you didn't make it, don't own it, don't have a legal document in which the owners state you have a legal right to re-publish it, you can not do anything with it. We're very big on protecting creators and creators rights. We also generally don't allow free content on our platform as we try to create a culture where artists work are directly and monetarily valued, as this industry is notoriously guilty of undervaluing creators. You are more than welcome, of course, to do anything you'd like for your own private games with your players. It's once you get involved with distribution / re-distribution that these rules apply. Thanks for your great and sincere question!
Alright, thank you for the response ^^
