Hello Everyone, 2018 is coming to a close. I closed out the 2018 game listing and started the 2019 game listing. Be sure to make future game recruitment announcements there. This year I was involved in two Fate games with the same group of people but I did not have the opportunity to run any Fate games (although I did GM other systems with my busy schedule). I played in: Time Pirates Fate Core game (on haitus) Swashbucklers of the Seven Skies Barathi Noble House game (ongoing) I planned to run but my busy schedule prevented them from happening: Learning to Play/GM Fate 3 Fate Star Wars Battle: Seattle Those planned games from prior years will hopefully get done this year plus another Dresden game. I had a great time being a Fate player but would like to run a few games. We’ll see what the year will bring. What about you? /Matt
Greetings everyone, This year my experience with FATE was a mix-bag, but it was indeed a interesting one no a less. I GM: Shadows Of Chicago (Twice) - A one-shot with FATE Accelerated, in a Cyberpunk theme, revolving the city of Chicago. The first time, it involved a cast of characters pre-made by me and the players that applied were great. Loved the experience. The second time, different players, they made their characters, also a wonderful experience. Hero Academy - A one-shot with FATE Accelerated, in a anime theme, with resembles a lot of "My Hero Academia". Not so fortunate on this one as the players were all new and were having trouble to engage with the system. The session had to be called off in half point. Cataclysm - It was suppose to be a campaign with FATE Core. The players were mostly new to the rules. Unfortunately real life events force me to put a end to it where things were getting on track. So I give my 2018 effort a 7/10 result. I hope 2019 I can continue with the one-shots or short stories, as it seems it gives the better results. I also plan on keeping using Accelerated as appears to, ado too much simple system wise for some, got the better feedback. Lastly if possible, I would like to at least have a experience as a player.

I was a player in a stable set of Fate games most weeks, although sometimes we were down to 2 players and the experience is a little threadbare with just 2 players. Now there are 4. I played under the same GM in: Camelot Trigger An Evil Wizard Crashes Your TV Party Venture City and now Nova Praxis (which in fact is older-school FATE) The experience was enhanced using Nathan H.'s Fate Roll20 tabletop techniques: https://rpg.nathanhare.net/2017/04/21/fate-roll20 Maybe I'm forgetting one. Oh, yes, I was also in Rodrigo's one-shot (or potential pilot) for Shadows of Chicago (cyberpunk).
Greetings Everyone, This year in 2018 I GM the following World on Fire Dynarangers There were two to three more but they were busts from the first session. Dynarangers was a bust after the 3rd session. World on Fire was my own fate core game that I developed at the end of the 2017 and listed it in the 2018 game listings. It held World on Fire and World on Fire: The Walls are Falling. The game has a whole was successful. It has been running for a whole year officially. Actually I listed it January 6th 2018 and ran my first session January 7th 2018. This game without a doubt made my year for gaming a 10/10 has a put a lot of work into it. I wished I could have done other fate core games but it seems I can't get away from this one. Dynarangers was awesome too but couldn't get a full party that I needed making it a 2/10 for that at least but that is also counting the other games I didn't get to host. It I had to give it a fair overall on my gaming with fate core this year of 2018 it would get no lower than a 8/10. World on Fire has a book in development as a lot of work was placed into it. It has its own magic system that I developed myself or at least integrated into fate core. I did not like the original fate core magic system they had so I worked in my own that made the game a big hit. The book should be finished and I am releasing it to my group of 19 players that are still active with my active campaign. I will be posting the game in the 2019 thread as well to keep moving forward. I had no idea that World on Fire be a big hit was very surprised in 2018 and 2019 will be the same I bet. Love the fate core system as it is my main RPG system that I use to play with any game I GM now. Hoping for the same hype and better year for 2019.
This fall I ran a Fate game called Tales From Off-Peak City, which was set in my original modern urban surrealist world of musicians, artists, androids and pizza. Needless to say, it's still going strong and the community around it is quite enthusiastic. It harnesses the Fate framework quite nicely, perhaps not as slick as Nathan H's setup, but still robust and flexible enough for the needs of the game. If people are interested, I'll be posting a new link to the game invite in the 2019 Campaigns thread.
This year I have been playing in just two Fate campaigns due to getting back to D&D: GM: Warhammer campaign focusing on champions of the four Dark Gods. The campaign has been on-going for about 7-8 months now. Player and support GM: A campaign set in a setting of my own creation Witchcraftianism. The campaign ran for about a year and ended in early December.

Thank you! Our sessions have been a learning experience for me, both wanting to get better as a GM, and to get a deeper feel for Fate. Truthfully your advice and experience has been a godsend in this manner. In a reversal of Matt's statement at the top of the thread, I had a great time GMing, but would like to be a player in a game at some point.
