Hello, I am offering my services as Dungeon Master to any new players wishing
to learn Dungeons and Dragons 5 th Edition. I will run Lost Mine of Phandelver
which is a Level 1-5 adventure that is a good introduction to the game. For
now, I am just offering my Saturday every week to run this game for you. Players signing on will be restricted to Player’s Handbook only (no
Xanathar’s, Volo’s, Unearthed Arcana, etc.). I expect all who join to be
willing to read the rulebook and learn about the race/class/other that apply to
your character. I will help with and clarify any confusion as well as provide
guidance. But I cannot make you read, that is on you. If you lack the Player’s
Handbook, let me know. I love to teach people this game but, they must be
willing to learn as well. Once I have enough people (three to five), the first session will be a
Session 0 where everyone will make characters together. DO NOT pester me about
rolling stats or any of that nonsense before then. As DM, I offer my years (20+) of experience both at the table and here
on Roll20 to hopefully get all of you comfortable with playing this game with
other people. The key part is being able to play with other people. I will try and promote roleplaying. If the group tries to stay engaged
and does not treat the world/game like Saint’s Row or a session of Overwatch, we should have no issues playing this module to completion (though deaths may occur, it happens). It is ok if your attempts to RP fall flat. All that matters is you try. After we finish the module, we may continue playing beyond that or not.
Either way, you lot will have a module’s worth of experience under your belt and some stories to tell. I do joke around and banter during sessions but, I also take the game
seriously. I expect players who join to be open, flexible, and willing to work
with others. This is a group effort for all parties involved and I will do all
I can to ensure everyone can have a good time.
