Drawings and Dynamic Lighting

I am trying to get Dynamic Lighting to work and have filled in a complex map with all the walls properly traced. Then I began filling in "doors" in another color so that I could see them and move them as the PC's open the doors. Unfortunately, all the various lines/shapes I have drawn seem to be linking together as if they are one drawing - both doors and walls. If I try to move one door, the rest of the doors and walls move as well. If I try to delete one door, all the lines and doors delete. Its been very frustrating as I've spent hours carefully crafting my dynamic lighting layer three times now, only to have it destroyed by this.

Could you go into a bit more detail as to your process? Are you drawing all of the walls and doors with the polygon tool? Are you making the walls and door the same thickness? Did you try it at different zoom levels? Also, how are you making your selection? Are you directly clicking on the lines or do you use a "marquee" selection by clicking and then dragging? I know my personal preference is to make my doors using a thick lined skinny rectangle using the shape tool. I find that gives me a bit more to "grab" on to, in case that might be helpful.

A common cause of this problem is that you make your lines as one big line with multiple bends instead of making them as single segments. For example, using Polygon/line you could draw a square as one continuous line and it will be a single object. But, if you do that you will have a harder time selecting other objects. Instead, draw the square as 4 lines using "right click" to finish the line. This will make selecting other lines easier.
I have had to some degree similar problem with the "marquee" selection and drawings on DL layer. Whenever I selected any lines on DL layer with it it automatically selected every line/drawing regardless whether it actually was within the dragged area. But if I clicked individual lines they were selected normally. This has happened to me once so I didn't report it.
What Maetco said is the issue. And I did primarily what Gauss described. I will try a few things such as changing line size and types for the doors. Thanks.
Nope... doesn't matter what I do... any new line I put down is now part of the whole drawing. I cannot delete or move any one line. I have tried different line sizes, different shape types, different colors, placing some "front" and others "back", ungrouping, etc. This is a pretty major issue as I can't tell when it is going to take effect and hours spent setting up the dynamic lighting are ruined as I cannot open doors and the only option I seem to have is to clear all on the drawing. I will try it again using Gauss's method of drawing every individual line with no links, but that is really not very intuitive and there should be something mentioned in the Dynamic Lighting instructions.
OK.. I started from scratch and I tried just making many short lines on my map, right clicking after each one to complete the line as an independent shape. It is still making the same errors by linking unrelated lines together randomly so that I cannot create doors that open to allow lighting in. Here is a screenshot of the problem. I circled in orange the two lines that now appeared to be "linked" and move together despite the fact that they were created entirely independently and at different times. I am using an update chrome browser. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B95lN3umJniOR2NmZlphX21yTjg/edit?usp=sharing

Ahhh, diagonal lines have the same problem as multiple lines. The entire object is larger. Are you using "drag to select" or are you using "click to select"? Drag to select will have issues with a big diagonal line like that. Alternately, you could shorten the big diagonal lines and that will create smaller objects. If you need further help please send me a join link and I can take a look at your setup and make further suggestions. One note: I noticed you were using freehand on some sections, I strongly suggest you do not do this. It eats up a lot of system resources. You can draw circles with polygon/line by making many small segments. I can show you how to do this if you would like.
Same problem. I did one big line for the outside perimeter, then a bunch of smaller lines for inside walls. I use bright green for walls. Switched to red for doors. Went to move a door (red line) and the entire outside perimeter and a few random inside walls all moved as one. After messing around for 5-10 minutes, I deleted the whole thing and started over. It happened again, but with another set of random lines. No idea what is up. I used polygon tool and draw shapes, but no freehand.
