Android TV Support? (Specifically NVIDIA Shield TV)

First off, I have just tried to install it.  Rejected by the software. Hunting around the forms here I found nothing on this specific use case, so either I'm the first one to think using Android TV directly (definite no), or my search-fu skills are weak here (I'm not new but I am inexperienced with the platform).  I know I'm not the first to propose using a TV with Roll20 Usually when I've done Roll20, I do it on a two-screen computer.  Character and game info on one screen, movement, chat, and maps on the other. My thought here is to use the Android TV (NVIDIA Shield attached to a 43" TV - definitely enough screen real estate) as a zoom-out map overview or just information repo.  I'm not 100% sure yet, I was planning to just install it and see what felt right.  For controls, I have access to all three modes: the IR remote, the gamepad (if you're not familiar: similar layout to DualShock 3), and a wireless keyboard/mouse. My guess was that being (likely) not designed for TV use, that I would be relegated to the KB/mouse controls.  I'm OK with this. Now, to note: Backed by my desktop computer, I can get to a web browser here.  Steam Big Picture browser sort of works (the controls are not optimized for Roll20), and I can add Chrome as a game.  It's just a bit more convenient to have a native application running on the Shield Device Info: Hardware: SHIELD Android TV P2897 Android Version: 8.0.0 SHIELD Experience Version: 7.2.1 (30.6.129.32) Kernel: 4.9.109-tegra-g29568bc

Here is a thread that might have some information for you. It looks like the best bet is to run Roll20 with a supported device/browser, and cast it to the TV by cable, Chromecast or similar. Here is a good way to search Roll20 using google: site:roll20.net "Android TV" That limits the search to Roll20.net results. You can even do this to limit the search specifically to the forums: site:app.roll20.net/forum Android TV

The Roll20 app is only for tablets. It’s designed for use at the table as character sheets and dice roller and text chat. It doesn’t show the maps at all.

Thanks Andrew. I missed that macgeek125 was asking about the app, and had assumed Table on Tablet. Andrew has it right, macgeek125. The app is not designed for actually running the game, but as an accessory to those playing the game, things a player would normally have in hand: dice, character sheet and handouts.
