[LFG][5E][PST] - DMing an inclusive fantasy homebrew, newbies welcome

The tavern owner in Barrow had only given you two directions: Deliver the crate to the Citadel safely, and try not to die. Hey guys, i’m looking to DM a fun fantasy homebrew 5E game with some other newbie players. I’ll play by the rule of cool (ie, if i think it’s cool, i’ll let it happen), so it’ll get goofy pretty quickly. I’ve got some story ideas, but to me the best part of DnD is the collaboration, so i’m definitely interested in a group worldbuilding/character creation discussion. LGBTQIA friendly. Character Idea/Class: I want to try out a friendly drow duelist (swash rogue) with a silver tongue (but is also secretly scared of things with furs), but I'm more than happy to play anything that the party requires. Character Idea/Class: Yes I have been studying a bunch about classes just incase my current character dies so I won't have down time for the campaign.  Something I think is along the line of a Tabaxi Swashbuckler Rogue or a Tabaxi College of Swords Bard. First name (nickname or preferred name okay): Kaiser or (DerHundKaiser) Age (must be 18+): 28 Gender/pronouns: Male, He/Him Country/Time Zone: Eastern USA (but I work for myself and can match most hours excepting Fri-Sat nights D&D Experience: Little experience with D&D pen and paper except for maybe six months of playing a friends home-brew, Have done a lot of reading in the D&D sourcebooks and have done a lot of role-play in other settings. Character Idea/Class: I would like to play a character who uses "High Magic/Black Magic" the idea being that most people in the world would be horrified by how he does his magic, though he is on a quest to de-criminalize and de-stigmatize the use of it, and teach that it can be used honorably or with consent. Hoping to try something different along the lines of a blood-mage similar to that from the Magicians Trilogy by Trudi Canovan. My hope is that you might be willing to work with me on a homebrew class that is rather weak in its normal state, but can do two special things 1 drain magic, health, or thoughts from opponents or willing participants into himself by placing his palm over an open wound. This would require grappling plus a will check on both parties. The magic drained during this process could be used to imbue trinkets or talismans with spell power, and the using up of these trinkets is how the character casts spells of power any more significant than the very basics. Listening to podcast watching streams ect. What i find I'm lacking the last game i make up for in the next. I have been playing for 6 months or so and have played 3 campaigns and one one-shot game. 5e Character Idea/Class: Im very easy, willing to fill what the team needs. But I have played a fighter, monk, sorcerer and barbarian. Something about yourself: Im quick witted, funny and great to get along with. I like to make the team laugh and enjoy not only the game and the roleplaying but the expierence it offers. Not to say i don't take it serious when it comes time to but if there is a chance to make the tavern a little bit more lively then by joves i will. :)
