Hi I am the Head GM for a game called New Absalom, which at the moment is currently on hiatus due to lack of GM activity both on my part and on others. Right now we are currently working on getting the game back in order so we can all start having fun again in encounters and other server activities. We right now have about 12 players including the GMs and myself and were hoping people would be wanting to play. We have a list of features that I hope will help entice players to play. -New Absalom is a living world campaign which means people can drop in and play when they want to. They can RP with others and enjoy encounters which are usually ran at least once a week depending on GM schedules and player interest. My goal is to have enough players and GMs that we can have one once a day but I can't promise it will be that that much. -New Absalom is a modern city about the size of New York in its own dimensional plane of existence, the Demense of Legends. Players can choose to play as citizens or as vigilantes, taking on a second identity as a superhero, supervillain or an antihero. There are a variety of ways to become a Vigilante beyond taking the Vigilante class though it is the easiest way and inspiration for the game. -New Absalom is a gestalt campaign with a lot of homebrew and 3rd party content, including Spheres of Power/Might, Bloodforge and both Legendary Vigilantes books. We will be adding more as we find more content that fits in the game, and we encourage players to submit anything they want to add into the game. I am currently finishing up Homebrew Content specific to the setting itself and hope players use so I can tweak it and balance it as needed. -Players can be part of organizations. GMs will have their own organizations which they run which players can join. Each organization comes with its own perks including bonus exp from Training Dojo(more on that next). GMs will be running events and encounters for their organization as well which helps involve players into the actual world as these will all be canon in the story. Players can also make organizations as well. -Players can gain daily exp and gold through either downtime(we have our own unique method of rolling for xp and gold) or Training Dojo which is a standard encounter for either a solo character or party of players. Certain organizations grant bonus xp and gold for using their training dojos while being part of their team. -For anyone who wants to use Modern Path items we do have weapons, armor and mundane items from that system in the game, including computers and vehicles like cars and bikes. However, players do not have to use guns and modern armor if they don't want to and there are plenty of ways around the rampant use of guns, such as certain sphere talents and spells. -We also have rewards for helping out the game in the form of the RP system. While you can be rewarded RP through playing the game normally, we also reward RP for helping find new Homebrew/3rd party content to add to the game, finding new players to join us or joining the GM team. RP can be used to purchase magic items, templates for your characters and resurrect your PC should they fall in an encounter. -We have an overarching story now for the server. A mighty plane-eating foe is coming, so powerful even the mightiest of heroes can possibly only manage to drive the creature off. As it approaches, there will be effects felt on the plane. Psychics and those with the powers of divination and foresight will see terrible visions of things to come, magic and other types of mystical abilities will begin to unravel and all sorts of terrible monsters will begin to appear. This is on top of what the organizations will be doing as well. Sorry if this was a bit too long but this is basically what we have to offer as a game. It's not the traditional sort of Pathfinder game but if you are looking for a game with a good group of players, we'd love to have you. If you want the link to the game, please respond to this post. I appreciate everyone who joins and thank you for considering our game.
