What happens if you remove something from a games' compendium?

Let's say I have bought the Player's Handbook and I use it in my game, such as adding the spells, items, tokens, and so on. What would then happen if I remove the PHB from the game? Would it mess up any of the thing's I've already used it for, or would I just not be able to use it going forward? This could for example happen if I had to use the PHB for a one-shot, since free users are only able to use compendium sharing with a single game at a time. Thanks!

Once an item or feature has been added to your game, it is in your game. A creature with its token, once dragged onto the table top should be in there. A class feature, once added to your sheet should be on there as just plain old text with no link back. This is my understanding, A dev may come along and correct me or give exceptions.. :) BTW, nothing stops you from testing this. Add it to a game with a dummy player , add some features and monsters, then remove sharing from the game. See if the dummy player can still access everything that has been added, as opposed to just searching the now-unavailable compendium.

Keith's answer is correct-- once it's in your game, it's there. If you buy an adventure module, patches can overwrite data that was in the original module (for example, if we put out a patch for Strahd, the character Strahd in everyone's games will be updated.) But other than that, once you've brought something into your game, it's there until you delete it. That said-- it's a bad idea to drag everything from the PHB into your game, as doing so will severely impact performance. Edit to add: If you've bought the PHB (as opposed to your GM buying it), you will always have access to the PHB, even if the GM for the game you're in doesn't own it or hasn't shared it with your game.
Thank you for the answers, Keith and Stephanie, that's good to hear. Just to clarify, I am the DM and I have the PBH added to our game, but this weekend I'm running a one-shot, so I was going to temporarily remove it from our current game and share it with the new game. But it sounds like this will work fine. Once again, thanks!
