DnD 5e : Looking For Group willing to Play with a 9 year old.

My kiddo wants to play SO BADLY. He's 9 years old, knows how to read (but needs help with words sometimes), is very imaginative and creative, and just needs a place where he can thrive. Looking for someone willing to DM, and a few other players. Or an established group. That will work too. Please reply here if you are willing.
It may take a little while to find a group but don't get discouraged.  I've seen several people form groups with or for teens and younger folks here.
I would be willing to run a game for him. Only thing is its in 3.5 edition and I live in australia. So I would want to pay 5pm sydeny australia time let me know.
what's your timezone? I'd possibly be interested in giving it a go since my 11 year old nephew is interested in dnd too
Im 13 (I don't know dm) but if your finding a group I would love to maybe join this group
Oh man, you guys are all so awesome!!!  Im mst, so 5pm sydney would be 11pm. I think. Ill talk to him and see if thats something we can do.  As for the rest of you please stay tuned to this chat, i'll update as much as I can as quick as I can
It would be 11 pm MST just FYI

Have you thought about text based games? This style of play helps with spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

In no way to put you off of RPing in general or Roll20 specifically, but as an aside, given the number of times that, as a frequent GM, I've had to have a "talking to" about player interactions with female players, I would definitely urge you to spot check his conversations and regularly check his DMs.  Unfortunately there area lot of people that join this site for reasons other than family friendly roleplaying. While no one likes to have these conversations, better one uncomfortable conversation now than multiple horrific ones later on.

I am 15 so finding a group that has young people in is good oh  8:33 GMT .FYI can only play 5e so mail me if you're gonna let me in
So From what I'm getting, a group for younger kids (15-16 to 8-9) is a good idea and a decent amount of people would play. The only issue is finding a time and gathering us all together? Alright! I'll start the 'game' with Roll20, and make a Discord server for it. Then we can all connect in real time, instead of in forum posts! Lol  @GM Jack: Yes, I will definitely be having a talk with him about that. He's not too immature though, so I don't think the problem will be on his end.  @FeurG.: I figured 5e would be what we play as. I'll get him caught up to speed on the game. Don't worry! ^.^ Keep an eye out for the discord link, ok? @Pat S.: I have thought of that, but unfortunately he has dyslexia, and so his reading comprehension is lower than his grade level. I'm working on helping him by having him read the rules and make his characters and such, but even that's a stretch. @1eye: Thank you for your offer, but I'm afraid that an 11pm game time would keep him up far too late. That could go into as late as 4am, and he has seizures if he doesn't go to bed on time.  @TrevorL.: I'll be posting a Discord group here in a bit, so feel free to join up with it, so we can hash out details. What I'm thinking is, I might just GM for you guys, and then Feur, Travis, and my kiddo can all play together. I have a world built and everything, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. ^.^ Thanks everyone!
Seems you have everything you need, but should you need an extra, I'd like to throw my hat in the ring. I have dyslexia and am on spectrum, so I know how frustrating it can be processing information and how easy it is to "shutdown" when things don't make sense. Just a friendly offer, I wish you well on future adventures.

Nope
Plus
Depending on time, etc., I have a 12YO son who would be interested. He's played a few sessions in real life with me as a GM running him through some low-level AL adventures. He'd love to join a group, though. I saw one GM post such a game awhile back where he did it on discord encouraging both parent and child to join the server so they can listen along during gameplay.

Hey y’all, this group sounds like a lot of fun. 5e D&D can compliment so many styles and types of games. This group sounds like it would be perfect for another ttrpg called Mouseguard. I’d suggest checking it out for a kid/young adult type of game. It really promotes storytelling, the mechanics are simple and there’s much less to deal with in terms of number crunching and everyone gets to play a heroic and noble mouse charged with protecting mouse kind!

We'll figure out times and such later.  I definitely encourage parent AND child to join the server, but we'll keep it PG, so that children of all ages can play safely.
Sure. Just keep us updated. Thanks
Private messaged all who indicated an interest in playing. Check your messages!!! XD
Hi we are homeshooled and have been looking for a family friendly group and were wondering if we could join this one. We are 14 and 16 and in the CST time zone, neither of us have played before. Thanks for reading :)
