Can players create and put down their own tokens at will?

Is there a way for players to create tokens? Right now the DM has to make all the tokens for us. Is there a way to bypass the DM and just make them on your own? For example my cleric can summon a lot of things and I would like to make tokens for all that stuff. Put them down and remove them whenever I wanted.  Is this possible?

Sort of and with minimal GM-tervention. If the DM has a Plus or Pro membership level then there are safe options but if not there is still an option but it would require a fair amount of trust. At it's simplest the player would need to be promoted to co-GM to enable them to upload images (it would go against their quota and be tied to their account, not the GMs), they could then create sheets and set the tokens to be the default and give themselves edit access to the sheets. Once demoted or in 'player' mode the player would then be able to drag and drop the required token from the journal page as per your standard PC token. A more complex but 'safer' version of this would be having the GM create another game to promote the player to GM in and then use the vault (plus sub and above) or transmogrifier (pro sub) to import them into the main game.

Your DM could give you an extra character sheet. You have the ability to upload your own images to the sheet, so you would just need to change the image on the sheet to whatever you needed at a given time then put it on the table.

If you are looking at multiple images, it would be recommended to build a rollable table with the images then follow the above suggestions.
Thank you all for the replies. One more question if you don't mind.  If a DM gives me an extra character sheet, will I be able to remove the token and place the token without DM privileges?  Thanks again!

Yes, you can always delete your token and drag your character(s)'s token onto the map. Of course deleting the token does require that the token be selectable, so if your gm swaps it to a new layer you won't have the ability to delete it.
Thank you all so very much! You've solved my problem quite cleverly!
