To Voice or not to voice

Hey all. I just recently signed up on Roll20, and I've ' heard ' that there are quite a few games out there using voice chat, which is good...for those who can hear. I practically grew up with Dungeons and Dragons 25 some odd years ago, and I have always loved it. And Roleplay. But are there ANY games that are available to those who may be perhaps.. .deaf... or severely hard of hearing, even?

I don't know about that specifically, but I would be surprised if there weren't a lot of groups - the majority, even - who were willing to change it up for an able & willing player looking for the same things that they are looking for in a game. Can't hurt to surf the LFG for a bit and pick out a few groups to ask! Good luck. :)
Thank you! :) I appreciate it.

I've seen a decent number of games that are text only on here, so that might be something to consider looking at as one option. There are individuals who don't have webcams, who prefer not to use voice chat, and all sorts of other considerations. As Rendelle says, it's certainly worth asking! Many of the GMs here are very accommodating and willing to work with those who have unique needs or requests.
Not really big on DnD in general, but my one group in warhammer's text only (none of us have a mic), the other is mixed between voice chat and text. Should be plenty of variety in your preferred games as well, considering there is a -lot- of DnD in the LFG section. Just ask folks if it's mic, text or mixed!
