Hello! I am looking for active and enthusiastic players for my character-driven Exalted 2.5 campaign! We will be using Skype (voice optional) and Roll20, game times are still a bit up in the air. Sunday morning/noon american seems like the best bet currently, but no decisions have been made yet. -The Game- The game is set in the major city of Eastport in the deep South-East of Creation about hundred years before the Jade Prison breaks. The focus of the game will shift between politics, intrigue, character interaction and world exploration laced with high-flying action and epic battles. Antagonists will very likely use cunning and subterfuge over raw personal power against the party. Characters are generally going to be Dragon-blooded, though heroic commoner raksha, Ghost/Fey/Demon-blooded and heroic mortals are also available as player options. I'm a big fan of player agendas and love a strong motivation. I won't hold the hands of any experienced players, the setting is a living thing that will keep on trucking without you. New players are welcome, though I will warn that Exalted requires quite a bit of reading to get into. I thrive off interacting with my players and tend to be a big fan of their characters, so please come to me brimming with questions, plans and plots! I don't require long back stories, but the more you give me the more I will incorporate things into the game. -System- Exalted 2.5 with all errata. We'll be using an alternate XP-based character creation system that gives the players more power than normal starting characters especially when it comes to flexibility, number of charms and so on. As an estimate on the power level I think it'd be about 50-60 XP on top of default chargen. I don't house rule much beyond character generation, a crafts/mutations/arcanoi fix and stunts applying to all actions of a flurry. -Setting Premise- Eastport is an ancient and powerful demesne in the jungles of the South-East that used to be a Fair Folk freehold before a group of mysterious Exalted showed up pre-Usurpation, kicked the raksha out and capped it with a manse. Eventually Eastport was abandoned and fell into disrepair until rediscovered by a group of terrestrial exalted and their companions during the Fair Folk invasion to Scavenger Lands around RY 550. These companions started repairing the manse, which took so much time and effort that a permanent settlement formed around the place. Centuries have passed and now Eastport is a full-fledged free city standing on shore of the Dreaming Sea, far from the grasp of the Realm. It lies pincered between the Republic of Chaya and the recently discovered desert nation of Khandra - descendants of a lost dragon-blooded expedition - with the Wyld starting to crawl closer from the Eastern territories. The waterway trade route to Scavenger Lands opened five years ago, which has brought a massive influx of new players to the scene. Criminal organizations are digging their claws into the previously peaceful city's very core while agents of Dynast Houses and Khandra vie for power and influence in the shadows. Mysterious cults are gathering in the nearby First Age ruins even as rainbow-painted raksha capture incoming caravans into the depths of their jungle lairs. Eastport is a city of possibilities - are you here to hide or make a name for yourself? -Contact- Interested? Send me your Skype handle and a brief description of yourself (curious about things like roleplaying history, familiarity with Exalted, what sort of character archetypes you like to play) through Roll20 private message.

Oh damn, I'm soooo tempted. My regular group hasn't played Exalted in ages (waiting on 3e to come out; I've got the leather-bound gold-plated version of the core book ordered!), but I'm not sure I'd have the time to play. I'm already running a campaign of Unknown Ponies , I'm in a D&D 4e game, about to start a second 4e game, and one of my buddies is starting to plan a Call of Cthulhu campaign. =(
