no WebRTC at all tonight!

not a single video aspect is working tonight. wow. our group of 8 can not see each other. not good.
Has it worked in the past? Most people have stopped trying to use the in-game Video/Voice system by now, because of problems exactly like this. Discord is a popular choice, perhaps you should give that a try.
we had to use discord for voice, but continue to use the roll20 video as we have not been able to find another option.
You're saying that you had previously used video (not voice) in Roll20, and Discord for voice? For how long have you used this setup? What, if anything, did you (or any other user) change recently?

Our group used Discord for audio and video (hint, if your players are in a group. On a server, this is not possible). We have recently moved away because of numerous sound dropouts on DIscord, that are probably due to bugs in the video technology. We moved to Roll20 AV and were pleased to find it works for our group just fine (I was surprised, too). Beyond that, you have Skype as an option, which does have the advantage of a floating window for the noisiest speaker. :)  I have seen quite a few reports of R20 video/Discord audio like you describe. There are other options out there for AV chat. None as are convenient as the built in Roll20 Web RTC, when it works.
we started using hangouts, then that was no longer supported(because of google) switched to roll20 for all A/V, it was working well, loved the update that gave whisper ability(being able to speak to select players), it was great. then that started having lots of issues, we kept roll20 video going and used discord, for audio, since it had private rooms anytime the DM needed to "private" someone it worked well for us. on friday, the video component to roll20 just wasnt working at all. As a group, we love the video aspect, which i know many do not care for.  keith, skype will have a 'always on top' for loudest video?
Hello SugarKing, Sorry to hear that you were having issues with Video.  If you have this issue again, please  carefully work through Steps 1 through 8 of the Roll20 guide to   Audio Visual Troubleshooting : Step 1: Make sure you’re using the most recent version of either Chrome or Firefox Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome  and  Firefox. Step 2: Give Roll20 permission to use your microphone and camera Step 3: Make sure Video and Voice are turned on inside Roll20 Step 4: Clear your Web Browser’s Cache Step 5: Make sure you have the right ports open Step 6: Check if your camera is working with WebRTC Step 7: Check that your camera is functioning Step 8: Do a bandwidth test If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through  Step 9  to provide you with any assistance possible to help with the issue: Step 9: Solving Technical Issues Step 9.2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable  all  add-ons/extensions. Step 9.4: Provide a bug report Please ensure that the Console Log is complete. If you have a macbook pro (or a macbook in general), try this: open a terminal and type "sudo killall VDCAssistant" to see if this solves the issue. Information can be found  here in an Apple forum post . Thank you!

Hi, all. We pushed  a stability hotfix  this morning to address the issues with WebRTC. It may not be perfect-- we pushed this out without a complete test cycle. But it should be better than before, and we will continue to monitor performance and adjust the backend architecture as needed. If you have further issues with Video and Voice, please report them  here .
