Security Breech

Just wanted to give people a heads up - my card I had used to pay for my roll 20 subscription was hacked and used for $2700 worth of purchases. This happened The morning of the 17th, shortly after the posted security issues on the 15th. I’m not one to believe in coincidences such as these. Perhaps others should takes precaution.  I know they said they shouldn’t be able to access all the info but who knows, I’m not hacker. Happy gaming everyone and I hope you’re personal info stays safe. It has been a huge pain in my behind.

That's awful. That said, the breech was announced on the 15th, but actually occurred a couple of months earlier, so it's not likely they are linked.

I don't believe Roll20 stores financial information so I'm certain they aren't linked... I do feel for you though, had my card details stolen over the xmas period and they attempted a £4500 fraudulent purchase, luckily Amex are great and dealt with it very quickly without more than a phone call needed from me. Hope you get yours sorted quickly and easily too!
Like Ziechael said, R20 doesn't to my knowledge store CC information. My guess would be your old password and a possible paypal or simulair spell? XD app/pay service. Never use the same password for two websites or weak personal responces to security questions. Like whats my pets name = quick search on Facebook with your name could get that fairly easy. Whats the cause of this is never easy to tell, unless you used your CC on a scam site, doubt the hacker is going to say if he actually got the info he stole sold or not XD Good thing the bank cleared it quick. I've had a card stolen once too. Luckily my bank gave back the 20 bucks (not much i know) when someone in china baught a video game =P
