[LFP] GM got new "Numenera" books, wants a party to play with.

Planned time: Sundays, 12 noon CST Player limit: 4 GM Experience: D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, Starfinder, GURPS(main) Numenera is a game that focuses on fewer rules and more story. a Fantasy RPG build on a world of High Sci-fi. eight eras of civilization have come and gone and now the new night world has begun. I recently got a full book set of Numenera from a humble bundle. Unfortunately my normal set of players cant play during this time so I want to open the door here. I will be following along with the books for the fun of it, but I may throw in optional custom campaigns. we will not be focusing hard on maps but I am capable of making things happen. I normally run campaigns out of Discord. I do want to interview people before adding them. I am not looking for expert players, I just want to make sure we can hang out and have fun. if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I'm definitely interested as I bought the Numenera HC based on setting and interesting game approach alone, even though I've had no prospects to play. I like it for multiple reasons. 1. I am a big fan of exploration and a sense of wonder. 2. I like weirdness for any sake. MYST, Twin Peaks, LOST, Annihilation, comic books (The Invisibles, Casanova, The Umbrella Academy) 3. I like that it is so far in the future, that it is beautifully set up so that players don't have to deal with the painful social hierarchies of the present (white supremacy, patriarchy, etc, etc) and are able to have an escapist fantastic experience. Granted there is still social and economic hierarchies but there has to be some forms of conflict and imperfection. Now I'm actually a middle aged hetero white male so I don't directly benefit, it just matches my values. 4. I like to use anything I want to from both sci fi and fantasy. Kitchen sink! I have a game starting in April which may or may not conflict that I'm already committed to, so I understand if that gives others preference. On the other hand I am totally cool with killing off my character in an interesting perhaps plot-assisting way if I have to split. My experience, tastes, etc, are all in the old profile.

Hmm maybe, I am more hoping for people who don't have the books. not saying I won't add you in but I don't want 2 games conflicting. Thank you for being open with me on this.

Oh my god, I thought I'd have to DM Numenera to get a chance to play it again. Are there any traits that you'd prefer characters not take, or is it all on the table?
