Grayscale Tokens and the "Tint" feature

I recently commissioned my favorite token artist, Devin Knight , to develop some "Drone" tokens for use with my SR5 campaign and asked that he use a neutral-gray color palette. I was already familiar with the "Tint" feature on tokens and thought the neutral color scheme might make it easier to distinguish between duplicate tokens on the board. The result turned out better than I expected. If you're unfamiliar with the feature, here's a quick intro and examples of the effect: Left click on the desired token and click on the gear icon to open the editor. Left click on the box indicated below to open the color palette. Select the desired color. Left click on Save Changes. Here are several examples of the effect.
Looks awesome.

I suspect the token tinting feature is using screen blending to create the new color of the token. If that's the case: f(tokenColor, tintColor) = 1 - (1 - tokenColor) (1 - tintColor) Example: A section of a token which is off-white might have an RGB balance somewhere around (0.9, 0.9, 0.9). Tint that to a medium green (0.0, 0.6, 0.0), and the blended result is (0.9, 0.96, 0.9): a light green. Example: A red token (1.0, 0.0, 0.0) is tinted blue (0.0, 0.0, 1.0), and the result is (1.0, 0.0, 1.0): purple. This appears close to my testing of the tint feature.
